While my original review was accurate, at the time, I’ve seen positive changes in this pharmacy. Shawn (or Sean) has gone above and beyond to help my husband with a prescription that is not often in stock and very necessary to my husband’s health. It’s all about the right people doing the right thing for the people that depend on them. This pharmacy staff seems to be working with new leadership and headed in the right direction.
Original Review
It is obvious the pharmacy staff is overworked and stressed, but that does not give Pharmacist Josiah or any other pharmacy staff the right to treat customers as if they are an inconvenience, rudely, and talk down to people (or ignore them). I experienced this first hand, and watched them treat two elderly customers (who needed help and had questions) like they were a bother, like they were stupid and insignificant. No circumstance makes that okay. CVS Corporate-if you cannot staff properly, stop offering all the additional services until you can. Josiah and staff- maybe consider sensitivity training or a job in which you do not directly interface with people.

We use this CVS when in the high country as an extension of our home CVS..This location has repeatedly done a superior job managing our pharmacy needs and especially flexibility on script pickup...The staff is super helpful on phone and in person.. We plan to use them often...

Was from out of town and forgot a very important medication when traveling, called several times and left a message to try to get it filled, even specified I'd be willing to pay out of pocket since insurance would probably not cover it. No one called. Did not pick up phones. Just typical. This is the last time I ever use CVS. Don't even bother with them anymore.

these guys are notorious for not picking up the phone. Its so bad that even this locations own front of house told me they wouldnt pick up if they transferred me to the pharmacy. Ive been trying to get my meds for a week now but they wont fill my order and no other pharmacy can have it transferred to them because CVS wont pick up the phone.

Tried to get a present transferred to Boone NC location. I am in Georgia so I can’t come in. Waited on hold for over an hour at a time that google showed it was not busy. The app would not facilitate the transfer. I am having the prescription transferred and paying out of pocket since out insurance requires CVS. Why even have a CVS pharmacy location that’s so bad people go elsewhere? Seems like as much a waste of investment as it is a waste of time for customers.

3rd time having to pick up medicine here instead of walgreens.......the first time it was a 35 minute wait for 3 cars in the drive thru. The 2nd time I stood inside for 45 minutes while they serviced a 3 person line......now as I type I've been sitting in the 4 car drive thru line for 25 minutes. 1 vehicle has been serviced, the guy in front of me gave up and drove away without his medicine....I've moved 2 cars in about 30 minutes now, and that's only because 1 of them gave up and drove away. Aside from being HORRIBLY managed, the employees do easy tasks to put off having to deal with a line of customers - making said line exponentially longer. Horrible. 33 minutes exactly in the drive thru line right now, and the only car that has been serviced was already here when I pulled up.
