“Picture this: Friday at 5pm, 3 hours from home, our car breaks down., and the tow truck can't get to us for 3 hours!!! We called Phil's service. He not only answered the phone but through a series of phone calls was able to tell my husband how to fix the transmission and get us on our way. He was kind, compassionate, and very friendly. Anyway, under the new management at 421 Tire (which has been over two years now), I can safely say that the people there are honest, hardworking, trustworthy, and kind. If you work for the Post Office, then I recommend this place. I had to bring in my Prius due to my tire going flat and they found nothing wrong, and nothing wrong has happened since then (back in December of 2024). They didn't charge me for it. I can't remember the names of the two workers but they did a good job. There's nothing else to say except that I can vouch for them.”

“Motorcycle Tire Repair- EXCELLENT
After limping into Boone Monday night after trying a roadside puncture repair, Tuesday morning I started calling around to local tire shops to see if someone could install a better plug in my rear tire (it's not on the sidewall), after so many "no, we can't do it), I found Performance Tire and Auto on the Google search.
Right off, the woman that answered, said yes, no problem. I'm on my way.
The service tech (wish I got his name) dropped what he was doing, came out, looked at the spot, made two attempts to successfully get the leaked stopped. And, he's fast.
Payment -seemed like neither the women in the office or the tech wanted payment, pay them, this is a service and parts cost money.
I left there with a 300 mile trip home, figured if the leak didn't hold, I could always find a motorcycle dealer along the way for a inside patch. No need, held fine all the way.
Thank you Performance Tire and Auto, you saved the day/trip.

“I was visiting Banner Elk when my 2012 Jeep Liberty Jet started running badly. My plans were to continue back another 1300 miles to CT. Geoff's Swedish Werke shop was right down the road from where I broke down.
Geoff dropped everything and immediately started diagnosing and working on my truck. He was professional, thorough, and courteous. One of my fuel injector plugs and coil packs needed replacement. Parts were ordered for the following day, he dropped me off at my Air B and B, and my truck was finished the next day around lunch as promised. I HIGHLY recommend Geoff and his services and will continue to use his shop for repairs when I move to the area. It is obvious his passion for cars with the array of old fixer uppers scattered around the property - a true mechanic at heart ?!”

“Bill’s Garage saved the day for me! My vehicle needed to be towed after hours on a weekend and they came within 15 minutes and didn’t charge me until I picked it up. They were a little busy, but able to service my vehicle the next day. Sabrina was wonderful and communicated with me every step of the way. They didn’t try to charge me anything extra and even helped out a little on the price so I could get to work on time. Bill’s Garage has very reasonable prices.
