“Village Pharmacy is the perfect small-town pharmacy. Obviously, they do not carry the inventory of a mega-pharmacy, but nor do they have the chain-style service of a mega pharmacy. We have been customers for almost two decades and would not use any other pharmacy. Years ago, Brian pulled off a miracle to get vital medicine for our son. We know we can count on Village Pharmacy in a pinch. If you want a chain experience, there are several options for you in Boone. If you want a Blowing Rock experience, become a Village Pharmacy customer.”
“While visiting Boone, NC, we had a great shopping experience in the HT. My wife’s glasses and sun shades fell into the orange juice case and Scotty came to the rescue. Scotty went behind the display and found the shades. Thank you.
Additionally, being from Chapel Hill, we weren’t familiar and couldn’t find the mashed potatoes. Then Carson led us to the display so we could make a selection. Thank you Carson. “Closed. There is a sign on the door that says they are renovating and hope to be open again Aug 28, 2023. The sign also says drug store drive thru is open. 4 stars just to be nice. Will plan on stopping next time we are in town. We really like to try the local places.”
“I am getting over a terrible case of Covid. My poor youngest child is coming down with it and naturally we run out of Claritin D late on a Saturday night. As today was the first day in 3 days that I could even get out of bed, I found myself running around Boone half sick, looking for a pharmacy that could authorize some Claritin D for me. Grace lived up to her name- not only was she patient with me gasping in at the minute, she was kind and understanding. I really want to switch our meds to Publix now! You all are so kind and professional and I've never had a bad experience here! Thank you Grace! You are such a diamond!”
“Boone Drugs Deerfield is like most businesses in Boone, the county (and surrounding) in general, unusually helpful, supportive people.. doesn't feel like a national chain. Boone car (or bike) mechanics, appliance repair, gas stations & drug clinics, local police & attys, local bars, schools, building inspectors, or drivers, it's a remarkable place. I grew up south of Baltimore, very grateful Fate (Guess I do believe in God) led me here...”

“Quick stop here for Tesla Supercharger, restrooms stops was decent and clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Tesla Supercharger at CVS parking lot with mountains view! A 12 stalls, including 1 accessible stall, up to 250kwh on CVS parking lot supercharger station in Boone. It's mentioned as 250kwh charging power, but actually really slow, couldn't keep up to 115kwh if more than 2 cars charging. While my original review was accurate, at the time, I’ve seen positive changes in this pharmacy. Shawn (or Sean) has gone above and beyond to help my husband with a prescription that is not often in stock and very necessary to my husband’s health. It’s all about the right people doing the right thing for the people that depend on them. This pharmacy staff seems to be working with new leadership and headed in the right direction.
Original Review
It is obvious the pharmacy staff is overworked and stressed, but that does not give Pharmacist Josiah or any other pharmacy staff the right to treat customers as if they are an inconvenience, rudely, and talk down to people (or ignore them). I experienced this first hand, and watched them treat two elderly customers (who needed help and had questions) like they were a bother, like they were stupid and insignificant. No circumstance makes that okay. CVS Corporate-if you cannot staff properly, stop offering all the additional services until you can. Josiah and staff- maybe consider sensitivity training or a job in which you do not directly interface with people.”
“During the last week, I've needed two prescriptions, and both times, I was able to select to have them delivered to me within the same day, at no cost to me. I am really grateful for that service.”

“I typically do a large portion of my shopping at Food Lion. The only thing that is a problem is that I use mostly all healthy products, and those items appear to be shrinking. I had hoped that they would have increased the amount of gluten-free, soy free, and corn free products.”
