The Speckled Trout Restaurant and Bottle Shop
922 Main St, Blowing RockThe hostess, waitstaff, bartenders and bus staff were amazing on Friday, November 29th around 8pm. Despite being extremely busy, they made it possible for us to sit with our of town friends who had a similar reservation. The drinks, food and service were wonderful.

Blue Deer on Main
960 Main St Ste 3, Blowing RockOriginally from FL and was craving ice cream while it was less than 20° outside while visiting. This store offered great ice cream sandwiches. They also sell muffins! I highly recommend trying the Red Velvet Cookie ice cream sandwich with chocolate ! If you're near the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. FYI: Parking might be a bit of a slight issue if you arrive during a busy weekend, but you can parallel park near the store.

Flavia's
1179 Main St, Blowing RockFrom the Opera cake, to the tiramisu, to the chocolate eclairs, Flavia really knows her pastries, and has perfected her craft. Her cheesecakes are amazing as well, and the service is consistently sweet as her desserts. These are worth every calorie!

Mellow Mushroom Blowing Rock
946 Main St, Blowing RockEven though it's a chain, the Blowing Rock Mellow Mushroom is our favorite. So much so that on a recent 4 day stay we ate there twice. And drove home 200 miles with leftovers. Everyone knows about the pizza, but the hidden gem at this MM is the really really good fresh salads. Especially the Caesar. With grilled chicken. Hail Caesar!

Bistro Roca
143 Wonderland Trail, Blowing RockThere are so many good things to say about this restaurant, it's hard to know where to start.
Our waitress Julia was outstanding. She was happy, helpful, friendly and attentive.
The food was delicious. The pizzas we chose off the menu both had very unique flavours. Each bite was like fireworks in your mouth.
The wines and warm cocktails were great. Perfect for a cool winters eve.
The bourbon pecan bar was a hit for dessert too.
And best of all it all came out quickly!
Great work Bistro Roca! If we were local to the area, we'd be regulars.

Mexican Rock Restaurant
8180 Valley Blvd, Blowing RockOverall not a bad Mexican restaurant! The aesthetic is cute, upgraded and clean. Didn't have to wait to be seated because they have lots of seating available (inside & outside). Their menu offers lots of options for each category and although it is a bit pricey, the portions are large! I thought it was a bit odd to find whole bay leaves inside my quesadilla but other than that the food was good! I ordered the fresh lime margarita which tasted perfect! Will probably return in the near future.
