I love this place. Prices are a bit steep, but I’ve never come here looking for some kind of festive food item and not found it. This is the only place within a hundred miles that you’ll find mulling spice and cider. Quality of produce and packaged items is universally high.

Lots of pumpkins and other fall decorating things. They also have a fairly good selection of apples.

J & M produce is definitely worth a trip up to blowing Rock. The fresh vegetables and local vendors items all under one roof. You can walk the grounds to see furniture from the Amish country and you can see the fall setting with pumpkins and gourds.

The store was set up nice and the people nice but the prices were very high. cantaloupes were small and very ripe. They were 3.00. they had a box of what they called over ripe cantaloupes that were 2.00( these were rotted) A fried pie was 5.50. Tomatoes 3.99 a lb.

All the baked goods and candy I bought from J&M were bad. Everything was very very old. I threw it all away. I suppose the locals all know, but tourists? We don’t find out until we are miles away on the Parkway. Unbelievably bad food items.

We stopped here to buy apples, but they have so much more! Lots of pumpkins and homemade items as well. The owner was so friendly and helpful. She offered to let me taste an apple before buying, which was very helpful. No one wants to buy a half bushel of apples that aren’t good. She recommended the Pink Lady variety, and they were indeed delicious. Great produce and great customer service! Prices were also very reasonable and cheaper than the shops in downtown Blowing Rock.

The gas station attended was a sweetheart. The store and furniture was a nice little bonus.

Freshest local fruits & veggies. We stop in at least every week for berries, peaches, corn, hard squash, whatever's in season. Of course, a bit pricier than supermarket, but I don't have to drive into Boone to stan'd in a checkout line so that more than compensates. (Also, some of our of town visitors are now addicted to J&Ms pasta sauce!).

We have been stopping by Jim's for years as part of our Boone trip "must do's". A little pricey but unique canned goods and convenient.

The wildflower honey does not taste anything like authentic honey. I bought while on vacation so I can't return. Steer clear of the honey here. At least I can use it as a sweetener for coffee so the $20 jar doesn't go to waste. While buying this did suck, I have learned to look for in authentic honey because of it.
