A warm welcome by a friendly team, a very clean room with a comfortable bed, a historic vibe, and an awesome location. A great starting point from which to explore the town (Black Mountain) by walking or the area (Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville,..) with a short drive. Safe and inviting, serene and relaxing … an amazing getaway.

My stay at the Monte Vista Hotel right outside of Asheville was nothing short of extraordinary. My husband and I wanted a long, quiet weekend away from the kids and this spot exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff was more than willing to assist us with anything we needed. The food from Milton’s was full of delicious southern delicacies, although I would highly recommend trying all flavors of Mimosas they offer prior to eating to really amp up the experience. Overall, our experience was 10/10 and we will be returning soon!

The Monte Vista Hotel in Black Mountain, North Carolina, was amazing!! First off, the chicken and waffles? Absolute perfection. The rooms were so cozy and inviting- I had one of the best sleeps of my life. But what really made the experience stand out was the friendly staff. From check-in to check-out, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It's rare to find a place where the service matches the charm, but Monte Vista nails it. If you're in the area, definitely swing by and see for yourself!

I recently stayed at the Monte Vista and cannot recommend it highly enough! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive and rooms were spotless. We did not know what to expect from the restaurant but it really was top-notch, the food was amazing. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the charming nearby town and hiking trails. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I look forward to returning soon!

What a quaint hotel. The staff was friendly. Every room in the main hotel is different. They have an outdoor area for dining with a great fire pit. Cozy up around the fire and have a cocktail. The Monte Vista is in a great location, easy to walk the entire area. It's also dog friendly.
Walkability: Within walking distance of most shops and restaurants
Food & drinks: Every restaurant had great food

We had a wonderful dinner at Monte Vista last night. The atmosphere was inviting, creating the perfect setting for our group outing. The food was delicious, and each dish was expertly prepared. The staff showed genuine care and appreciation for their customers, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the evening. It was truly a memorable experience, and we're grateful for such a fantastic dining experience at Monte Vista. Thank you to the entire team!

We loved our visit to Black Mountain and the Monte Vista Hotel! This place has such historic charm, and the service was fantastic. We were there on a Tuesday, so we didn't get the opportunity to dine in their restaurant, but we hear it is excellent. The manager, however, made some great recommendations for dinner, and we were very happy. Unlike most chain hotels, it was relaxing to just hang out on the porch and in the lobby in the morning. We will definitely be back.
