AVOID these nasty women with all the space you can! Called to verify their place of business—it was a google error on my part. Wow! Impatient. Rude! Abrupt and basically told me to get off the phone because they’re too busy. I’m just a peon to them, no doubt. Ouch

Been a while since I’ve been in here but this place just stands out in my memory. They had a great variety of plants and the whole vibe was just too cute for words. I bought a little potted ivy, and the employee was very helpful. Sadly someone else killed my ivy throwing a bag on top of it, but next time I’m in town, I’ll stop by for a replacement.

Most people close the doors at a garden center at 5 or 6 pm. Mellie Mac’s has created a niche, by setting up a “stage” with seating inside the garden, and sculpting the garden with seasonal plants, waterfall feature & garden art.They do serve craft beer & wines in bottles or glasses & the selection will be updated for each event. The owner ( or, one of the owners) said he sells beers he likes at prices he can afford. I like his beer selection and philosophy.No food served, so bring something, or order a pizza from Pizza Hut a block away.Beautiful space, great band with Panthertown tonight.Restrooms are porta-John’s. So, if you do not like these outhouses, take care of business before you get here. ????

What a darling garden space that is now (drum roll) a beer and wine garden too. Does it get any more small town beautiful than this? I think not. Been a few times to this inviting location. The garden itself is beautiful- full of plants both free range and potted. They have it all- big and small. They even sell seeds and gardening supplies. There are a ton of picnic tables outside for you to enjoy the atmosphere. Many nights (mostly weekends) there is live music. Free. Live music in a flower garden? Heck yeah.They have porta potties that are quite clean and a water station. Dogs are not allowed sadly. This is because some people did not respect the "no peeing on the plants for sale" rule. Understandable with how that could get dicey. Nobody wants a dog watered plant in their living room. I'll review the wine and beer bar in another location. For not I just want to note that it's a win- a huge selection for all and affordable prices. I got a tiny adorable wine for $5. Most beers are the same. Unheard of for this town. Woot woot. Classy affordable drinks with a view in a community space. Dreams do come true. Delightful people in a delightful place- goooo

wonderful outdoor gardening store here in black mountain! you can find all sorts of gardening supplies, tools, and of course plants! staff are all super knowledgeable and friendly. they’re also the home to a cool new local bar called “The Lowdown” where they serve cans of beer and hard seltzers and bottles of wine so you can hangout for a bit while you shop! highly recommend this local business!
