We were able to find a flat field by the park to fly our kite. This is a short, simple loop trail around the lake. ALL the dogs are there, so careful if you're afraid of dogs as I am. There's no escaping them.

Lake Tomahawk Park provides users a place to play, walk, swim, gather, commune and relax within a 16.3-acre parcel located centrally in Black Mountain. Lake Tomahawk is fed by Tomahawk Branch and spans 8.9 acres in size. Lake Tomahawk Park features amenities such as a pavilion, fishing pier, playground, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, public restrooms and a walking trail. The walking trail is .55 of a mile and is the most used amenity at Lake Tomahawk. The pavilion was built in 1993 and features ten picnic tables and one small charcoal grill. In order to fish at Lake Tomahawk, you will need to have a valid North Carolina fishing license.
