I just had them build a new rear MTB wheel for me. They had it done faster than expected, for cheaper than expected. What more could you want? Highly recommend.

Wow! The new Epic Cycles is great!I took them my new Ibis with a potential frame warranty issue. I told them what's up and allowed them to decline. Nope! They said "we'll handle it!"That they did! Great communication and the repair was on point! And quick! And very resonably priced! This place might be the bike shop that'll let me quit having to service my own bikes. Very capable.

Had a bicycle stolen while staying near Black Mountain so I stopped in at Epic to ask them to keep an eye out. They were all incredibly helpful and friendly and it's clear that they look out for the cycling community in this area (and even people like me from out of town). One of the mechanics, Buck, was especially kind and I ended up killing a lot of time in the store just talking bikes with him. This is definitely not the kind of bike store that looks down their noses at their customers and they treated me incredibly well even though I wasn't there to shop. Great store, great people.

These folks not only know bikes, but have very fair rates for repair and always do a fantastic job! They have helped me multiple times on my ancient roadbike, locating difficult to find parts and even once helping me install at no charge! Cannot recommend enough!

Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating with a large selection of bikes and gear. I highly recommend this nice shop in the cool little town of Black Mountain, away from the chaos of Asheville.

Watch out, sales person and owner tried to shame me for not buying a used bike after they freely offered and proceeded to tune up the brakes on it. What kind of manipulative sales tactic is that?

Stopped in for help removing pedals off of my road bike and met Michael. Not only did he immediately get the pedals off for free, he showed me some tricks for how I could do it in the future myself. What a breath of fresh air to meet someone so friendly, helpful, and truly passionate about his craft. I'm so happy to know people like Michael and places like Epic Cycles still exist!

I go to a lot of bike shops around the Country and even abroad. Epic Cycles has outstanding customer service and just a friendly, family shop. Their true love for bikes really shines through. My repair was done in no time and they went above and beyond by updating my Di2 as well. Mountain bikes or road bikes, Epic Cycles is the place to go!

What a sweet little shop. Came in around 5:15 (they close at 6 which is lucky for us 9-5ers) and was. Immediately greeted despite the owner talking to others. He finished up with the other customers and promptly made me feel welcome. I proceeded to explain some issues I had with my bike cables and he let me know they were twisted (hand to forehead). He explained this to me without making me feel silly or d*** for my mistake. He then fixed the cables and added air to my tires. He proceeded to tell me the condition my bike was in through casual no pressure conversation. He stated it was good for now but would need work eventually. I loved how knowledgeable he was and I could tell he wasn't trying to sell me anything. Unnecessary. I then inquired about a replacement tube (he just ordered them so I'll have to come back soon) and a bike bag. I settled on a nice bike bag for under the seat. Pricey but handy and just what I needed. It was $25 which is standard for this sort of thing- I just prefer used things usually so full price scares me. Ha. Honestly it felt good to support an authentically kind local business even if it was just a little. He was willing to help at no cost and that goes a long way. I'll certainly be back soon
