Such a rude receptionist and bad policies that make them difficult to deal with

I am trying to book an appointment for my dog and was told they were booked for a month, My dog has 2 ear infections and then was told to call everyday at 7:30 to see if they can fit me in. I have been going to Dr. Hamby since she opened. It’s been almost 20 years. I am so disappointed that they can’t see a dog with 2 ear infections sooner than 1 month. I actually adopted our dog from Capeside 10 years ago.

Everyone at Capeside goes above and beyond! Dr. Farrell is beyond amazing with our cats, and Dr. Hanby and Dr. Carmine couldn’t be better with our dog. They offer house calls, which has definitely been a game changer since we have 2 cats that don’t like to travel. We live in Porters Neck, but would travel to them no matter what!

They really are so compassionate for your pet. Our Bandit was in such poor health when we adopted this 7 year old but Capeside took care of him and now he's like a 7 month old puppy!!
The staff is very helpful and friendly and the Doctors are amazing Thank you everyone at Capeside ❤️?❤️?❤️

Capeside always treats us so well. They respond promptly. Their diagnosis and treatment are good. They squeeze us in for emergencies. The curbside service is excellent for our reactive dog.

I recently moved back to the area and was looking for a new vet for my cat and mini schnauzer. While most vets are good with dogs, it takes a special person to deal with cats, especially my sweet Izzy. Capeside has a separate cat entrance and has vets who specialize in dealing with cats. I found Dr. Phillips who is remarkable and is definitely the "cat whisperer". ? Izzy felt very at ease with him and the entire process was so much less stressful for Izzy than with any other vet with whom we've seen. The entire process from check-in to leaving in her crate to my car was seamless and such a great experience for me and Izzy. Thank you Dr. Phillips and everyone at Capeside for making this a great new experience. My 1.5 year old mini schnauzer will be coming in June and I hope she has just as great as an experience as Izzy.
Back when I lived in Southport in the early 2000s, I took my mini schnauzer to see Dr. Hanby with Capeside and loved her. Her practice has grown and added some great new vets.

We grew tired of tge less than professional attitude- sometimes 'snarky' and condescending responses coming from some of the staff at the vetanarian local to St. James, that we had been going to for the past several years and decided to give Capeside a shot.
WOW! Like night 'n' day difference. Will recommend to others and will post on Nextdoor, especially for new folks moving here- where to go and... where/who to avoid.
