Our recent experience at Island Traders of Beaufort was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. After my 17-year-old niece purchased a pair of Birkenstocks, we encountered a situation that left us feeling violated and disrespected.
Upon purchasing the shoes, my niece placed them into her tote bag instead of using one of the store's bags. Shortly after, while we were in another store, we were confronted by the assistant manager and another associate from Island Traders. They accused my niece of stealing and approached her in an aggressive manner.
What followed was completely unacceptable. Without any regard for her privacy or dignity, the assistant manager and associate forcibly reached into my niece's tote bag, grabbed her belongings, and aggressively pulled out the shoes. This action not only humiliated my niece but also crossed a serious boundary by physically touching and accusing a minor of theft.
As an adult accompanying her, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and respect shown by the staff at Island Traders. Their behavior was not only unjustified but also deeply disturbing. No one, especially a young girl, should be subjected to such treatment in any retail setting.
I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before supporting Island Traders of Beaufort. Their disregard for customer privacy and their willingness to accuse and physically confront minors is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated by any responsible consumer.

staff was super rude, came in with my friends and she rolled her eyes when checking out my friend. Nobody wants to steal your grandma clothes relax.
spent 50$ in the store, and still giving dirty looks.
glad I saw someone else had the same experience.

One of our favorite places to shop when we are in town. Large variety of clothing for all ages. Check the back for the kids section - cute and functional beachy items for your kids and grandchildren. A little pricey, but all brand name clothing (if that is important to you). Lots of fun stickers here too.

My husband, family and I visited the Beaufort location twice during our vacation. The first visit, my daughter and I went in and she tried on some different sandals. The staff here LITERALLY would not even LOOK at us, let alone speak to us. I went in a second time with my husband because I was looking for a t shirt. Different staff but exact same behavior. My husband purchased a shirt and a swim cover up for me and the staff didn’t say a SINGLE WORD. I felt like we were judged as being “poor” and we both noted that more ‘well dressed’ patrons were immediately helped. This was the most gross experience I have had in a store in years. Also I hate to tell them but you shouldn’t judge the size of someone’s wallet by the way they are dressed on a beach vacation. I will NEVER visit this establishment again- it truly was horrible. I hope the staff is able to learn some customer service skills but my “not good enough” money will not be spent here.

More then help full staff and they sell very good items. The " Keen " shoes I bought there a year ago showed problems. I went back and they replaced them by new ones without any discussion. That is what you call excellent services.

I absolutely love the clothes they have here. I bought my husband a shirt from here last year for Christmas, and I bought a beautiful dress yesterday. I always love their selection and their prices are wonderful!

We loved this store and went to it 3 or 4 different times to buy things we saw elsewhere more expensive. There is a huge selection of clothes and they weren't out of any sizes that we needed. The employees are friendly and are always working to make the space better and more appealing.

I will love to talk about Mrs Alice Larry, I was very worried last week when my mom was sick by Cancer, I have no places to run to or helped me out, but I still pray to God to direct is helper to me, i was going through my Facebook page I saw a recommendation about a lady who Mrs Alice Larry helped about Binary trading I was so shock to see that, I gave her a try by investing $700 and she gave me a good return of $4790 after 3 days of successful trading now I can pay my mom hospital bills and take good care of her now.
