It is Sue, Nancy, Jenn, and Andree at Harbor Specialties in the quaint town of Beaufort, NC. In a world where customer service has gone south, this Southern boutique shop has delivered over-the-top service and made my customer experience the best practices that all other service businesses should aspire to! This shop is the best ever!!!! I have been to many coastal shops that have a "specialty" but this place is the best!! The staff is extremely warm and friendly, always a smile on their face and willing to help.I live in Baltimore Maryland so I visit every couple of years and never fail to stop here and make many purchases. The selection of clothes and handbags are amazing. I get EVERYTHING monogramed and they do a PERFECT job doing so. If I am running short of time, they offer to ship it and trust me, you will have in in a matter of a few days.Next time you are on Front Street visiting beautiful Beaufort you absolutely MUST go in this shop!!!

My husband went in 5 minutes before closing to get some much needed water on a hot summer day while I waited in the car. As he walked in, I saw a woman with dark, chin length hair who was clearly an employee because she came out to help another woman with bringing in a sale rack roll her eyes as she held the door open for him to go in through. The rudeness that was visible was totally unacceptable, and they didn’t even have bottled water. It’s a shame that this rude experience was our first interaction with this business as it seems like a neat store otherwise!

Fun place for leather, nautical specialties, and custom hat embroidery. Definitely some unique items to come in and look inside.We actually ordered a custom hat embroidery and we're happy with the quality of hat, color, and embroidery!

This store has everything! Perhaps too much because it's somewhat overwhelming. They have candles, clothes, bags, shoes, hats, and decor. Friendly employees. The prices were a bit high compared to other stores down there.

Very accommodating staff. We are Full time live aboard sailors and love to make a stop over here. Well this time we only had a few hrs in land and I was on a mission to get 5 embroidered baseball caps as gifts for some other sailing friends. The employees were kind enough to listen to my dilemma about the few hrs I had on land, and to my great surprise they were able to pop out all 5 hats in less than 4 hrs… now that’s customer service, oh and “ hats off to you gals”!

We visited the store twice in our travels. Found it very relaxing to browse and look at our own pace without being bothered or rushed. When I asked a question I was pleased with the service. Some unique items but I ended up getting two beautiful candles at 50 percent off. ?

Seemed to be a unique gift shop. Everything was a little pricy. Also the staff seemed to be completely uninterested in us. They were laughing loudly and carrying on, so we didn't want to disturb them. However, it just seemed like they didn't care. The embroidered hats did look cool though!
