Absolutely a must when in Beaufort! Such a charming store with young, energetic, and friendly staff. Great for one-stop shopping with souvenirs, t-shirts, hats and more. But the best thing by far is the ice cream! The ice cream servers have perfected the art of serving scoops. It was unbelievably busy but the line moved fast and efficiently. Smiles on all the staff and laughter throughout, it’s obvious everyone there is having a good time and happy to be there! Can’t wait to go back.

This is an awesome little shop on the waterfront in historic Beaufort. The employees in the shop are all extremely nice and they had a nice assortment of clothing and accessories, along with some general household products. They also have hand-dipped ice cream and amazing fudge! There are some cozy benches on the front porch where you can sit and relax while enjoying your ice cream or fudging and watching the boats out on the water, and the passers-by on the street. A must-visit if you're in Beaufort!

Wow customer service!!! Bought myself a sun hat when visiting. After I got back to the boat, we decided it would be the perfect birthday gift for our daughter in Texas. I called. The manager put in a birthday card, packaged it beautifully and even sent me a picture!! We live in Wilmington and always stop in Beaufort going up and down the coast. I just love the people of Beaufortn

So you raised the washing machine fee from 2.75 to 3.50. That’s wrong on so many levels. Dryer fee did not go up! Still 2.00. But how do you intend to be able to continue your service when the economy goes to cashless? How will people be able to still use your servers when cash and coins are not accessible? Cashless society is coming sooner than you realize.

Do NOT miss this great store/ice cream shop!They have everything from hats, to t-shirts, to ice cream here, all very nicely displayed and priced better than other shops.They close early, so dont plan on an after dinner ice cream like I did and miss it!Nice store, good prices, good service.

Really fun gift shop and ice cream and fudge.The ice cream and fudge are over the top!Really cool gifts at better prices than most shops in the area.The staff are really nice every time we visit!This is a must stop shop before you leave!

The ice cream was tasty, but was served way too soft and immediately began to rapidly melt and drip - and yes, it was late without any sun on it.

Love going to the general store to get ice cream every year when we come to visit. They have 3 cases of flavors. Their blue bubblegum flavor is the best!$3.50 for singles and $5 for doubles.

The General Store sells a wide variety of items but the biggest draw is the ice cream. They have a wide variety of flavors. You can find a little bit of everything for sale in the store in case you forgot something or just want some souvenirs. The store has a laundromat in back too.
