Studio 12 is a great spot when you have that rainy or very windy day while on vacation. The coffee shop has good drinks, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful, there is a section to browse and buy crafted items, and then there is the crafting area which is spacious and has lots of examples for inspiration! I am impressed with the variety of classes and activities they offer. I did a fused glass walk-in with friends. The glass selection was well stocked and they had a variety of base shapes for the piece. I also did the water color class with my husband and we loved it! The teacher covers and explains the techniques used to create the scene and we found it super informative. Highly recommend!

We had a party of 9. Split between doing painting and mosaics. It was a really enjoyable time. I’d say the pricing is fair, it’s on-par with local to me studios with similar setups. It’s nice having a cafe next door (try the kombucha on tap).

Fantastic craft day activities. We were treated as family from the start, with helpful tips and assistance as needed but no feeling of forced creation some business.

Studio 12 is a gem. I was lucky enough to take a Watercolor Class with Dawn. It was an exceptional experience. Dawn took the time to explain all the products and techniques we were doing. She showed us examples of other other works, and other medias that we could work with. She focused on techniques that helped us to paint the beautiful surroundings that are found at the Outer Banks. All this was done while having friendly conversation and learning things about The Outer Banks from a local person❤️

This place is so cute! My daughter and I went here while on vacation and made really cool glass art. They were very helpful in explaining the process and we had such a nice time making lasting memories :) They also went above and beyond to make sure we had our artwork finished by the time we had to leave. I definitely recommended checking this place out! The coffee shop was great as well and they had lots of beautiful artwork for sale.

Studio 12 is a must visit if you are vacationing around Avon. They have weekly classes at 2pm for certain things you can make but they are also super flexible if you want to do something else. I went in on a Tuesday thinking I’d paint a small clay bowl but then I saw all their glass art and totally changed it up. It wasn’t too busy cause I went in April so keep that in mind if you go in the summer months. The owner was super cool and explained everything to me, she really took the time to help get my creative juices flowing. I had a very nice conversation with her intern as I worked on my glass art. It was really a nice time overall. I went with the iconic wave stencil on an 8” round and they made it into a shallow bowl (which did take full 2 days to fire up in the kiln). They also have projects available with next day pickup so be sure to choose accordingly. I’m super happy and impressed with my glass art and I will have it for the rest of my life to remember my amazing vacation in the outer banks.
