We had a wonderful family vacation here with our teenagers. The layout is great. The location is terrific. We loved the flexibility of being able to either go to the pool or kayak/paddleboard on the canal or drive a few minutes to hit the beach. Christo and his wife did everything possible to make our stay exceptional and ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be booking another trip!

Our family had a wonderful week staying on site at the Sea Star! Each morning drinking coffee on the back porch overlooking the canal was the perfect way to start each morning of our vacation.
Our whole family enjoyed fishing off the pier at the house - especially the kids looking for crabs.
The house and pool were very clean and accurate as pictured online.
Christos was a great reference for any questions we had and local recommendations.
We definitely plan to come back next year!

Rick and Chris were amazing and a great value! They took Great care of me and my family! We went out on three different days and had such a great experience. They were patient, communicated well, safe, and offered the flexibility we needed. Highly recommend using them to learn to kiteboard!

I had booked my wife with beginner lessons with James for three sessions in April, he made sure that she was comfortable with the pace of the instructions, and if she wasn’t, he was more than accommodating to switch things up for her without any pressure. At the end of the day my wife was very happy with the way the lessons went and is looking forward to taking more lessons with Kite Club Hatteras and James.
I also was able to book some hours with James to work on jumping, which was a big help. James made some short clips of my approach and jumps, then he added some key take a ways to work on, I hope to be back with him next Spring to continue.
We had stayed at a previously booked location, but would love to try and stay right on the location, maybe next year.

We can’t say enough about this place! Absolutely the best vacation we have had as a family and with friends- and we have taken a lot! The house was beautiful, stocked well, in a great little culdasac area- allowed us to rest easy when all the kids were playing outside, awesome owners, wonderful pool, the docks and crab catching was the best for the Littles! Beds were comfy and clean, lots of bathroom towels and the washer/dryer made such a difference!!! Everything was super clean! Less than 5 mins from Food lion and tons of shops, beach access and the point was 10 mins away! It’s hard to find a dog friendly house these days and our dogs had plenty of space to run and go potty, the dogs had a blast as well! We are already talking about going back there for our vacation next year! Do yourself a favor, stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you Christo and family for an absolutely wonderful vacation!!!

I did wing foil lessons for 2 days. Instructors James and Rick are patient, fun and supportive. The launch area is convenient to Avon and surrounding beaches. I stayed on site, so it was great to wake up and walk down to the dock! The owner is on site with family so this really is a local biz. I will come back for sure.

Took two 3-hour beginner kiting lessons. The instructors were extremely friendly and got me riding in no time. Would highly recommend these guys' services to anyone looking to start kiteboarding!

Christo was a fantastic instructor. I was able to learn kite foiling in 2 hours. He took me on the boat to a perfect area to learn and the instruction was extremely helpful.

I had a great time staying at the Kite Club and taking lessons from James. He is a wonderful instructor and helped me get to the next level of my kite boarding adventure. Especially loved his video recordings of my rides with constructive and encouraging commentary which allowed me to review what I was doing and how to correct it. Rooms at the Kite Club are flawlessly clean with plenty of space to lounge and strong WiFi to work if you need to. Big bonus was that the place is dog friendly so that I could stay with my little mutt who was loved up by everyone there. I just spent 10 days in the OBX taking lessons from these guys. I had two instructors over 7 sessions... Rick and James.... and both were very patient, personable and excellent teachers. I'm a total beginner and I've had many hours of lessons before coming here...in la ventana and costa rica... but this was the first time I actually got up consistently and felt confident riding. Conditions here are superb for beginners. Communication was clear and responsive and they were very fair and flexible with their time. The great thing about this place is that you don't spend any time walking up and down the beach. We did totally water setups with the help of a jet ski or a skiff and having miles and miles of empty relatively flat warm waist deep sound water made for exceptionally effective use of time. Christo the owner also has several accommodations right on the spot which looked very comfortable and convenient though I didn't stay there because they were not available. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend these guys !
