Place is a dump. Our 1st room you could not adjust your own heat. Second room stunk and no heat or TV in second bedroom. Looks like a drug hotel. We couldn't cancel lost our money and still came out better somewhere else. Don't stay here if you don't have to.

Can't beat the price and what you get you in return. Receptionist was pleasant to speak too, room was clean, comfy bed, 5 minute walk to a public beach. I was very satisfied with my stay, no complaintsRooms: Seemed recently remodeled especially the bathroom looked fairly newNearby activities: Just a couple minutes drive to Fort Macon and easy access to the rest of the islandSafety: Felt safe and no one bothered meWalkability: 5 minute easy walk to a public beach with restrooms and outdoor shower

When I tell you I was surprised about this place I truly was! It's not the nicest place in town(that's further down the coast) but it's also not 200 a room either. The bed is comfortable,memory foam and there's no bed bugs(I checked) and they have mattress protectors on the bed. Our room didn't have a TV in the bedroom but it wasn't a problem for us because we are here to vacation, we can watch TV at home. A decently short walk from the beach for 2 30 year olds. The couch could use replacing but all in due time. You can tell it's been recently updated with the decor. Honestly the decor reminds me of home (same paint color and light fixtures as my house ?). Definitely will be staying here again. We're fairly local (about an hour away) so this was a nice day trip for us. If I was coming here from out of state I definitely would invest in a more high end experience. Over all nice though. Clean,local owned and comfy.Rooms: Clean!!! Some of the other reviews stared there were bugs I haven't seen anything not even a fly!Nearby activities: We visited Fort macon which had a haunted house experience tonight. Alot of walking there but pretty fun and educational for the kids. Visit their site they have lots of activities going on there. We plan to go to the aquarium tomorrow. Also for the fishermen the peir isn't far away.Safety: Quiet surrounded by condos. I'm going to be honest I've visited the Atlantic Beach area my whole life and never have seen much activity at night.

Good old mom and pop business. Price are fair for the type of room and location 5 minutes walk to the beach access. Could use some upgrades/updated items in room but other than that can't really complain for the price.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! STAY AWAY. Nothing short of a terrible experience from beginning to end. Rooms are disgusting, do not let the pictures fool you. I do not think the linens are being changed between stays, they were covered in stains, hair and sand. Bathroom was dirty, all of the carpet is dingy and caked in dirt and sand. Booked a room for 5 people, 5 nights and was only provided with 2 towels, 1 roll of toilet paper, no kitchen utensils, and good luck getting in touch with anyone if you need anything during your stay. Never anyone in the office, phone number is posted on the door but they never answer. WiFi does not work. ONE wall air conditioner in the back bedroom, so whoever sleeps in that room will be absolutely freezing in order to keep the rest of the place at a decent temperature. Cracks under the door, blinds falling apart, arms of the chairs were broken, beds were stiff as a board and only had one pillow on each bed (they were also covered in stains). ROACH INFESTED!!!! Cut the lights on and roaches run everywhere. Mold in the bathroom. Pay the extra money to stay ANYWHERE but here.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. They have done some renovations with new carpet and such. Easy walk and access to the beach. I would stay here again.

Go buy a tent and go to a camp ground. No front desk no Wi-Fi . Don't know where they got the pictures from on website but not here. Would sleep in my truck before I would stay here.

If I could give this place negative stars I would!! My room was FULL OF COCKROACHES! They refuse to give a refund bc there was "no evidence" I'll attach the pictures to this review and let everyone else decide. I had to pack my kids up in the middle of the night!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!

Rooms are simple, but that's about all you need at the beach. They were able to accommodate last minute when my reservation fell through.Walkability: Walking distance to the beach.

The good- cheaper than others around, ac worked, room was cleanThe bad- very cheaply renovated, never had hot water during our entire stay, couldnt use ceiling fan because of bad mount job, front door was the only one that actually fit in its jamb correctly and couldnt close bedroom door.if you just need a cheap place to sleep it works great if youre looking for somewhere to spend time go somewhere else.

One of the worst motels ever!! 1 window ac in the back bedroom, no trash cans and the 2nd bed was at the front door in the kitchen/TV area. Smelled like a roach motel and very low end! There were also no seats or table to

I don’t bother writing reviews often, but every now and then something really stands out. This time in a horrible way. I feel people need to know how terrible this place is. There was no staff and just a key in an envelope. So no one to talk with about the deplorable conditions. I have attached pictures so you can see for yourself. Cigarette burn through the comforter. Then peel the sheet back to reveal a gross stain. The carpet was absolutely filthy and you can see that in the pic. If you walk too close to the bed you will loose part of your shin on the hidden piece of metal bed frame. I pulled the skirt back for the pic. We had two rooms with our group and they were both the same. They also had cheap blinds that didn’t block the light so the outside light would shine right in the face of whoever got the bed by the window. Staying anywhere else would be a better option.You have been warned.

Me my husband and children just stayed the 26th through the 29th in room 2. It smelt of cigarettes and the room my kids stayed in smelt like pot the whole time we were there. The tv didn’t work but we made due and went and purchased a dvd player because our whole stay called for rain. The light/fan when turned on was about to come flying out of the ceiling. Couldn’t report any of this to anyone that worked there because no one was there our whole stay. Not worth 300 a night. If that was the case they would be taking better care of the motel.

This place is what you pay for, the rooms are clean and recently updated. No Frills no being bothered by staff. Speaking of staff, she was on point and super nice. If you don't want the Ritz Carlton and just want a regular old stay, you found your place.
