When a car kicked up a rock shattering a small portion of my windshield, I called my insurance agent for a recommendation as to how to assess and repair the damage. They said people really like Tri State Auto Glass so I booked an appointment. Upon receiving a warm welcome when I walked into the office, I knew I was going to like this place. They had created an inviting seating area with large TV monitor and offered free WiFi. In no time, the job was handled and I was stunned that the repair, which cost about $50, left only the smallest dot of where the shattered mark once was. I got to chat with the office manager, Stephanie, when paying my bill and knew customer service was more than lip service. Great family-run business!

Went in with what I thought was a chipped windshield, Tri State said it was a scuff and no repair needed. I really appreciate that they are honest about what actually needs to be fixed and will be back for any future repair needs.

A few days ago we had really windy weather here in the mountains and something must've struck my wife's windshield and cracked it. She had a crack that stretched almost half way across the windshield. We called State Farm and they gave us a few places to try, but my wife really wanted the windshield fixed as quickly as possible - especially since wintry weather was on the way. Tri-State gave her an appointment in just a few days. Unfortunately, her appointment was for today (1/15) and we were getting hammered with snow in the western counties. Asheville was getting cold rain and we were getting snow in Cherokee. In fact, after we'd made it to the shop, we started getting texts from family and friends showing the road conditions and the rapidly deteriorating weather. My wife spoke to somebody in the shop and showed her the video from our Ring doorbell camera and the young woman behind the counter was immediately concerned about us making it home safely and got the guys working in the shop to prioritize the replacement. They not only got us in and out in under about thirty minutes, but the job was done amazingly well with attention to detail Thanks to everyone at Tri-State for getting us in quickly and getting us home before the weather got much worse. Nobody likes to have to replace a windshield, but the folks at Tri-State will make it like it never happened!

Great service and better prices than safe lite! Showed up slightly before they initially said they would. Danny even vacuumed most of the broken glass out of my car. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t Use This Company.Tri State Auto Glass has most likely been running a scam that has gone undetected for years selling rejected, defective windshields as new.The following is an update to the review of Tri State Auto Glass in North Carolina, my grandson posted for me on November 4th.To recap Tri State Auto glass installed a windshield on my vehicle that looked as if it had been sandblasted. There are thousands upon thousands of tiny pits in the glass from one side to another, from top to bottom. To make a long story short, Tri State, despite their warranty is doing nothing about it, and refuses to replace it with a defect free windshield. In response to my posting, the owner said he would look into it. But I haven’t heard back from him, and he hasn’t responded to the Better Business Bureau complaint or the complaint I filed with Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Attorney General’s office.Tri State Auto Glass positions itself as small, family owned business. They have a picture of a gentleman with white hair who looks like a kindhearted grandfather, who is identified as the owner of the company on their website. Along with this photo, their website proudly states that–"We’ve also kept a clear focus on our values: quality work, excellent service and taking care of people."Based on my experience nothing, and I mean nothing, could be further from the truth. It turns out that Tri State Auto Glass doesn’t care. Based on my experience they are a disreputable, dishonest company that doesn’t give a damn about their customers. They don’t care about all the grief they have caused me, they don’t care that this pitted windshield is a safety hazard and is endangering my life and the lives of other drivers. When the sun is low on the horizon in the early morning and late afternoon, the pitting glows like a cluster of stars and obliterates my vision. At night the pitting intensifies the blinding LED lights from oncoming vehicles. It’s as if the entire windshield lights up making it opaque instead of clear and transparent.Tri State Auto Glass probably has been getting away for years and years, selling defective, rejects as new first grade windshields and they know that all they have to do is nothing, and I will finally give up.Well I am not going to do that. I will see you in court Mr. & Mrs. Brock and I will keep after the North Carolina Attorney General’s office to investigate your company.

Don't Use This Company. Tristate Auto Glass has most likely been running a scam that has gone undetected for years selling rejected, defective windshields as new. They should be investigated. My windshield had to be replaced and I wanted to give the business to a local company. Big, big mistake. When I spoke to their customer service person she assured me that they bought their aftermarket windshields from the same company that manufactures windshields (for OEMs-Original Equipment Manufactures) that automobile companies use. Everything looked fine until a few days later when the sun was low on the horizon. I was stunned and dismayed to see the new windshield was covered from one end to the other, top to bottom with thousands and thousands of tiny pits. These pinpoints of light glowed like a star-filled sky on a dark night. It was the same in the early morning when the sun is low on the horizon. Late afternoon and early morning on sunny days are the worse time, with the blinding light shinning in one's eyes. During these times of day, the pitting was so bad the windshield was almost opaque obscuring my view which made it dangerous to drive, and it was the same when the headlights of oncoming traffic glared on the pitted windshield. I contacted Tristate and they sent a young man, who examined the windshield and saw the pitting. Instead of replacing it with the windshield that he had brought on his truck, he told me that they have to reject three out of seven windshields from the manufacturer they purchase this glass from, and that he was going to come back with a better windshield from another manufacturer, and that someone at Tristate would call me to set up an appointment. A few days later, an older Tristate worker came pounding at my front door. This worker had no in tension of installing a new windshield. Instead he pulled out paperwork showing that seven years ago, the company had to replace a windshield on a previous vehicle I owned not once but there times! Something my 80 year old brain had regrettably forgotten. Had I remembered, I would have never ever have used Tristate again. As opposed to admitting that this was proof that their windshields were defective, he made it seem like I was a nuisance, as if wasting all my time and energy was something I enjoyed. Since it was not late afternoon or early morning there was no way that all the pitting was visible, yet there were some areas on glass were you could see the pinpoints glowing. His response was to take a dirty rag from his pocket and rub the outside of the windshield over and over and over and over again. All this did was smug the glass. Seeing, that his rubbing did nothing, he now said that it was tree sap on the windshield and there was nothing wrong with it. Our vehicle is garaged, and in the days since Tristate installed the replacement, I hadn't parked under any trees. After he stuffed the dirty rag back into his pocket he went back to his truck and drove off. A letter to the owner of the company was ignored, as was honoring their so-called warranty. Based on my experience now and as their worker reminded me, seven years ago it would appear that they are running a scam that they have been getting away with for many years. Selling cast-off defective windshields as new and free of defects to unsuspecting customers.

This was recommended to me by my regular auto service business (prestige Subaru) and I’m happy I took their advice. TriState had great customer service and had me in and out quickly. I’d recommend it to anyone that needs a windshield repair.

I'm shocked at the elementary level of communication from this business it was by far the worst customer service I ever had and then the lady on phone tells me a price of 392$ said the included all the trim around the window then they get there the installation guys Chris and Dennis say that the lady at front desk just messed up and that I wasn't paying for something I wasn't getting yet the price never changed and I did not receive new trim at all was told that they could not get it they never called me befor they showed up I had to go to the store location just to get a time after calling 4-5times then of course when I payed the 392 dollar bill reluctantly the 2 installers neither one had change so I had to pay 400 bucks even I will never use this company again in my life I recommend that others do not either they are not a professional business, a business yes but professional no ....I would not recommend this companyService: Auto windshield repair
