I had the best experience today at Topps shoes with the thankful help of Justine!! She was f’ing amazing! I am not someone who spends a lot of money certainly not on shoes, my wife will tell you that. However, it was Justine that made the whole experience worthwhile! Not only did I feel like I had a good sales person, but I think I made a friend.

I can honestly say I have never understood or felt so strongly about shoes in my life. The well-educated assistance and curated selection really helped me begin to develop my own sense of what I should look for in shoes. It’s really kind of a “mind blown” day for me and a ton of fun.

During my most recent trip to Asheville I decided to visit their retail store as I was in need of a comfortable pair of walking shoes. As an Operations Manager in Charlotte I walk nearly 8 miles a day. Craig, a welcoming and highly knowledgeable sales associate spent nearly 40 minutes with me. Craig listened intently to my needs and ultimately had me decide between a pair of On Cloud shoes and HOKA shoes. I went with the HOKA shoes. I’m not sure why it took me 5 years to visit this Parthenon of quality brands but you shouldn’t wait. Consider this retail bliss as part of your Asheville experience. Your feet will thank you.
30 days after I purchased the HOKA shoes I returned them because of the excessive wear I put on them. I wore the shoes out after three weeks of averaging 6 to 8 miles a day walking. I explained my situation to Ryan who was great and he freely exchanged the HOKA shoes for a pair of Ecco shoes.
30 days later they were returned for the same reason. I had reconnected with Craig who then exchanged the Ecco shoes for the Oboz hiking shoes I have now. Manufacturers love having a strong retail partner who represent their brands well and Tops does that beyond expectations. However, as illustrated above; Tops keeps a keen eye on their customers and will always put them first.

I shopped there Monday and found a sales lady who was most helpful. She helped me find sandals with great arch support. Very informative and observant to help me with the right shoes. So sorry I didn’t get her name. The selection of shoes is great.

First time here but will definitely be return customers! Needed to find replacement shoes for my son to perform in his Memorial Day concert tonight and while all the staff was friendly and professional, Craig in particular was a tremendous help. Even though they were getting ready to close he was so friendly and on task with our request. Found the perfect shoes in enough time to get them to my son for his concert.

This is an amazing shoe store with a huge selection of high quality shoes, but the employees are who make this place special. Shout out to Ryan who patiently worked with me to get my shoes dialed in. I wore them out of the store, can’t remember doing that since I was a child!

What a wonderful selection of men’s, women’s and children’s shoes! Garrett was very helpful to my husband and patient in finding the right tennis shoe for him! Great place to try multiple brands to get your right fit. Will return!
