Thomas Wolfe Auditorium is a large but not overwhelming venue in a convenient Asheville location, close to everything. It hosts great shows and performances with great management and performance tools like lights and sound. However, the space is outdated and needs modernization, a deep clean, and a paint job, with paint peeling badly on the walls and ceiling. The venue has terrible acoustics and the seating could be more comfortable with better views. Parking is a noted problem, though some find nearby parking fairly easy. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean. Many hope the city will invest in improvements for this thriving arts scene venue.
Parking is a big problem. We drove around for 30 minutes before finding a suitable parking place, and still had to walk several blocks. We attended a concert, but the venue has terrible acoustics.

Good venue to pack in a bunch of people. Not the best audio.

My niece's Nutcracker performance was at this location. We enjoyed a wonderful performance. The auditorium was large but not overwhelming. We had a good view, even on the lower level. The parking garage was fairly easy to access.
