Found this floor screen treasure at Sunnyside Trading Co., and shipped it down to our home in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Used two doors to frame out the doorway between kitchen and butler pantry. Everyone was so helpful and I Sunnyside will be my new go-to for that must have special piece. Bonus is that I have two more to use in our office.

I love this store and have always gotten amazing service and valued input from Stuart and Klaus. I've bought a number of items over the years and most recently visited the store seeking a large and interesting piece to go over my bed. They were kind enough to let me to try a few things with the knowledge I might not keep them and also shared the name of someone who could hang the pieces as they were both quite heavy. I ended up purchasing a fabulous wooden wheel with an engraved floral design and I'm thrilled with it.

I recently moved to Asheville and stumbled upon Sunnyside while discovering the arts district. First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to Klaus and Annie for being such amazing human beings! They both have a natural talent for interior design and were able to put bits and pieces together to help me bring my vision to life. Also, a big shout out to the entire team that’s so friendly and welcoming!I have always loved the fusion of midcentury Danish design merged with subdued colors and simple zen aesthetic that finds beauty in imperfection and the passage of time. I wanted to create a stress-free environment where I could really unwind. Annie and Klaus helped me to carefully select each piece of furniture and lighting. They understood that the end result was as much an interior design style as a philosophy. I love to build but the art of interior design was completely foreign to me. I couldn’t have done it without you!

This place is unique. The space is large and airy, pleasant to walk around in. The objects are fascinating: furniture and furnishings, imported from the East, exotic, either antique or vintage and most constructed of teak, I believe. They have massive carved beds, windows, doors, gates, benches, a bunch of really cool things. Helpful and courteous staff.

Sunnyside has beautiful exotic items that inspire creativity. The staff is super helpful with finding pieces and even suggesting customization to fulfill the customers needs. Highly recommended!

Klauss was such an excellent help to us. Very welcoming and had a deep understanding of everything in the store. There is such a wide array of items to chose from here. Each piece of furniture is truly unique, and oozing with history (and good vibes). Best yet you can get real wood furniture and bypass purchasing a load of OSB/veneer with equal weight or packing materials (and assembly) from big box sellers. Come on down here and support your local business. These guys are first rate! We can’t wait to continue furnishing our house with them!

We so loved shopping at Sunnyside and our expert Klaus! The inventory is like walking through a "Silk Road" Art Gallery and Klaus was the perfect and most knowledgeable guide. It's worth your time for a visit!

This is by far my favorite store in Asheville. My wife and I have bought many treasures from Sunnyside trading company which have truly transformed the entire atmosphere of our home. The nicest owners too, very kind and warm energy.

Beautiful Mandalay Buddha statue with a perfect height making a very imposing statement in my living room which it is composed of country French furnishings and Asian art works mostly being Chinese. It is mainly painted than gilded giving it a deep definition to the folds and pleats of the gown. The edges are also lined in rhine stones. Fairly new with a very handsome face. Highly recommend it if more of the same become available in the future.

I loved oooing and ahhhhing over all their beautiful Asian doors, as well as the carved furniture. If you're looking for home furnishings which seem antique or out of the ordinary; if you happen to be in the arts district in Asheville, NC check it out. It was one of my favorite arts installations
