Couldn't beileve how coldly I was treated.Not one "Hello" , "Or may I help you" not even "let me know if you need any help"I only say this because numerous other people walked in and were immediately greeted and ask the usual questions any retail store would be asked.I'm not sure if I didn't fit the description of a normal customer but I certainly did not appreciate the obvious cold shoulder I was receiving in this store.I will not be returning to this store when I return to Asheville, but I'm pretty sure that was the message I received.

The employees were friendly and there was a fantastic selection of a wide variety of toys. I reverted into a child while visiting! They had a number of toys from my childhood (90s and 2000s). In addition to buying things for my 1 yr old nephew, I bought a couple of things for myself, including a really beautiful jigsaw puzzle and an adorable plush mushroom that will live on my desk at work. So glad we popped in here for a visit.

Such a cute and fun store! Wonderfully curated books, fun pens and art supplies (Ooly etc), plush animals, stickers… and very helpful and friendly staff!

I always find the best party favors here. The gift shop offers a fantastic range of small toys and trinkets that are perfect for goody bags.

Such a great toy store. My go to for cool gifts and kids presents. They even have gift wrapping. Saved my life a couple times for past minute birthday presents. Limited parking on Haywood but I've never had trouble parking right in front of the store

Very reasonable prices and complementary gift wrapping! The owner or employee, not sure who it was, is very sweet& welcoming. Great place to buy gifts and toys, while supporting your local businesses.

Recently I entered Sparky's Toys for the first time ever. The lady there (forgot her name but she said she was part owner) helped me to find a present for a poor elementary school I was about to visit in the mountains of Peru. After checking out, she added six packages of colorful child-oriented pencils to my bag and commented "We support local schools. I'm sure we can support needy schools in Peru too." I was blown away by such kindness. Such generosity deserves support.

Great, reasonably priced, intelligent toy store. A lot of of S.T.E.M. based toys and games for the inquiring little minds. Plus a well chosen offering of "just for fun" toys and games. I feel like a better parent when I take my son here instead of big box stores and he LOVES going here too.
