“After 10 yrs of storing, both in Atlanta and Asheville, I have to say this is the BEST storage facility! Relatively new, its clean and convenient with 3 access doors. The climate control stays cool in the summer and warm enough in the winter (unlike many other storage facilities). Its why, despite moving around, I still drive up to 45 min to get to it. Julie, the manager, bends over backwards for everyone, is soo helpful and shows a caring attitude for all those coming in (unlike the other locations I had trouble with). She is always cleaning, and always smiling. If you want great service, a good location, the cleanest facility and the BEST prices, this is THE place to be!!”

“Chandra & Celena are AWESOME to work with… you will feel super taken CARE of. And the units are BY FAR the best in AVL… Auto sliding doors to get in and out - which is hugely helpful. Temp controlled. Everything is extremely clean. And the in & out is flat at parking level with lots of carts to use when you’re here. Feels Super Safe to be here and get things when I need (another huge bonus for me as a woman) and open 7 days a week. Highly Recommend! *****”

“My husband and I have had a wonderful experience with this SmartStop Self Storage facility so far. The team member, Brie, who helped us was very comprehensive in assisting us in getting set up. She explained everything thoroughly, let us view our unit before agreeing to it to ensure it would meet our needs, and went above and beyond to show us how to us get our U-Haul truck directly to our unit to unload. The unit is a drive-up, climate controlled unit and was very clean. And there appeared to be plenty of solid security with barbed wire fencing and cameras to ensure the safety of our belongings. Overall, we feel very pleased and secure knowing our essential items are being stored in this facility and with capable, friendly, supportive staff like Brie to support us.”

The storage units are clean and they check to make sure the doors are locked every night.Everything is fresh and clean.I needed a space to park my car for an extended time. Sherry initially helped me on the phone and Shawn got all the paperwork done in the office. The staff is incredibly helpful and quickly got all the administration done. I was taken up to look at the parking space and Sherry selected exactly the type of unit I wanted.There is easy access to the units from the highway.Great service at a nice, clean storage facility.”

Doug fixed me right up, then Heather was a joy to deal with in the office - very patient, efficient, friendly. She called the day before to see if I was all set and ask whether I needed anything. “It would be a 5 because we know our things are always safe, dry, clean and easily accessible to us. It's only a 4 bc they took away the option to pay multiple months ahead online AND they've also made it almost impossible to pay in the office or by phone. For people like my mother who is older and has a really hard time with technology, it makes it extremely difficult every single month for her. (Who put things in storage to make room to take care for a family member dying of cancer). I know that we can't be the only customers that miss the multi- month prepay, payment kiosks, and good old human options in the offices and when calling any gostoreit number.Like I said though, aside from these things, we really appreciate the business and the people that have helped us along the way.Ps. The gentleman that works at the Gerber Go Store It on Hendersonville Rd deserves a raise. He has helped both of us numerous times with questions, payments, etc, when no one else could be gotten ahold of.”

“My initial review was poor due to door access code issues and poor response from customer service. After posting the review, however, I received a call from the District Manager, who was apologetic and eager to take steps to remedy the situation. I appreciated the outreach and am satisfied with the outcome. I won't give a 5-star review due to the initial frustrations which resulted in delayed access to my unit, but the resolution to my problem definitely warrants 4 stars. Many thanks to the District Manager as well as the temporary manager, who had been brought in from Phoenix due to temporary staffing issues. Both were respectful, polite and eager to make things right.”

“This is a top notch budget storage locker. I have been using them for about a decade with multiple changing lockers. The prices are way lower than anyone else, the place is clean and well maintained and I have seen very little sign of pests or water issues (unlike other lockers in the area). Since it is getting older I have had some minor maintenance issues like broken door springs, out lights etc, but they always take care of it when reported in a reasonable time. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they have held the rates for me for being a loyal customer.”
