Only there to check out the river, murals, graffiti, and artwork. It was very peaceful, and the people I encountered were friendly. Would love to go back during the weekend when it's busier to eat and gang out

Nice walk, not too rigorous. The artists that were present were friendly and willing to talk about their work.

It was my first time. Only came for a day but will be coming back for longer next time ? Such great people, artist, energy was 10/10. I’m from NY so it was refreshing to experience art in a new way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Also the food at 12 Bones Smokehouse was very flavorful!

Luckily, we'd done some research work and had a decent understanding of how the RAD was laid out and what was where, which helped us navigate the parts we wanted to see.
There are some really great artist studios in the RAD which are worth popping into, some even showcasing the making live. Coupled with the number of great places to eat in the neighbourhood, it's easy to spend a day hopping between the different sections at the weekend.
Probably key to the ambiance of it all is the sheer number of murals and pieces of street art in the area. Whilst we'd seen quite a lot of murals over the previous weeks on our roadtrip around the USA, the RAD was the only place where it felt more like the street art back home in Bristol (home of Banksy) in that it was more organic and evolving rather than commissioned set pieces. And there is so much of it that it makes for a glorious feel.

We loved it here. There are so many artists, galleries and studios in the area stretching from the bridge all the way south (for about a mile?). Many chances to meet and speak with artists about their works. There are also a few food/drink outlets amongst the converted/renovated warehouses that contain the studios and galleries.
If you love contemporary art, this is a great place to spend a few hours.

Since I love art it was pretty cool to walk around and view different artists masterpieces on the walls and learning the history behind it.

Unfortunately, we stopped by before most of the shops were open, but this area is the perfect place to walk around and take pictures. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see.
