Publix is a good grocery store, but their prices are more expensive than Food Lion. Asheville really needs more different grocery stores in my opinion to break the monopoly of Ingle's. Ingle's is ok, but there are way too many of them. They are on every street corner. Competition is always a good thing to have. In the Reynolds Community in southeast Asheville on Charlotte Highway all we have super close is a really old small outdated Ingle's. It works for a convenience store, but while other areas of the city have huge up to date stores we have this. I don't know why because this is a large population area. I would suggest people take the short trip to Food Lion in Fairview instead which is a nice very recently remodeled clean grocery store. Even with the prices of Publix it would be much better than this apparently forgotten outdated Ingle's that is here.

I've been to a lot of Publix across the country and this one holds up with the standards I've come to expect. They had everything I was looking for and the staff was super friendly and helpful when I needed to find something specific and was a bit lost. If you need groceries, go here! It's great and the people working are great too!

The entire Publix staff have bent over backwards, so to speak, to accommodate me and my son especially his unique behaviors while in the store. My #1 favorite store in this Arden/Skyland area. They have high quality products and food.

I had to write about the bakery here. Been shopping at Publix for over 20 years but this store can’t get it right. This is the 2nd time I bought these guava pastries and they crumble and fall apart. I even bought them 4 days before the the sell before date. The Hendersonville store is fantastic
