My opinion is always wrong, so I'll leave it for last.
Here are the facts, though: I asked if they could replace king pins, tie rod ends, mount new steer tires, and do an alignment. They said yes. I went in and left the keys. A few days later they handed me the keys back, like I was ready.
surprise #1) They casually mentioned that they did not replace the tie rod ends after all. Never called to tell me or ask me ahead of time.
surprise #2) They casually mentioned that they removed my wheel balancers and left them in the passenger floorboard, because of the glass beads they put in the tires, which was news to me since I didn't ask for it.
surprise #3) They test drove it without me, when we did not talk about anything like that ahead of time.
surprise #4) They said the test drive went "beautifully", yet it actually came out much worse than it went in, which is remarkable. Stiff and loose front end, doesn't go down the road straight, needs direction corrected every 1 to 2 seconds when driving, hurting my joints from the thousands of micro movements per day to correct the always weaving action, breaking my wheel spinner knob, making me look like a drunk driver, and it goes on and on. I did not have these problems before. The kingpins are overtightened.
surprise #5) My gear train is noticeably looser and more out of control than before, with sloppy loose shifting, spending way too much time in neutral, hunting for a gear, right after I had a new rear end installed before this front end shop visit, and I was proud of how nice and tight everything was, and it's not anymore.
Opinion: It shocked me how bad it is, when I drove it. Since I was not invited to the test drive of my own vehicle, I can only imagine the horribly rough shifting they inflicted on this new-to-them drivetrain, a 2001 Eaton Fuller autoshift, unusual for its time and even more so 23 years later, so it needs its own unique finessing like any vehicle, but even though they didn't know how to drive it, they let their badassery carry them through, and they drove it anyway, and jerked it around, and I can't prove anything since I wasn't there. All this happened without their ever calling me, on all these drastic changes listed above, as if they know my older truck better than I do? Come on. Totally ridiculous. Not acceptable. Customer service, like, zero. --> You listen to the customer. You communicate with the customer. Before you drastically change the game plan all by yourself. That's what you're supposed to do. --> If you're not detail-oriented as a service provider, then you've got nothing.
I have had good luck at this company before, but Jesse is not there anymore. Truck is an absolute nightmare to drive, as they left it. Worse than before... I emphasize that. Have appointment with different front end shop. Truck probably needs a steering gear box adjustment or replacement, but obviously none of the above has to do with that.
I have better things to do than to leave bad reviews, and I'm already over it, but I love leaving honest reviews, and this is one of those, in case I can help another person not get screwed by people's overconfidence, the way I did. Maybe I'll go back when I reassure myself they can work on my truck, or when they get new people working there. Take your 5 stars.

We would absolutely recommend Piedmont for diesel truck repairs! Recently, one of our employees at Thorpe Landscapes was in an accident. Another shop in town bid the claim and said they could do the work. When we got the truck back we found out that other shop had no idea how to work on diesel trucks. That shop took a lot of insurance money from us and left us with a still broken truck. We got the truck over to Piedmont and they spent a good amount of time problem solving issues that the other shop should have completed. The Piedmont guys did such a great job dealing with our team as we called for constant updates AND they got our work truck back on the road safely.

I have a 450 super duty dump truck, I take my truck for vibration issue, they did alignment and replaced two ball joints for $1,100.00 they take one mount to get my truck. I when to pick up it and still doing the vibration, I take it back to them, they told me need new 4 shocks and fix fuel filter leak. $1,000.00 I when to pick up the truck and still vibration and leak the fiel filter, the steering wheel they left twisted. For me I won’t take my trucks there anymore

I work in propane delivery. It is very important that my tires be up to DOT standards. My boss sent me over for 4 rear tires needing replacement. No sooner then I walked in and said what I needed did they have me backing my truck into the garage and immediately started putting the new tires on. Not only will I be able to run my route when I was prepared to lose the whole day but the people that depend on propane for heating and keeping their homes running normally will not have to wait longer for the potential delay this could have caused.
