I went to North Carolina Glass Center on my last day in Asheville and the timing worked out for me to take a glass fusing class! It was so fun to learn just a little bit about working with glass and I can’t wait to see my picture frame when it’s done in the kiln.

I made a pumpkin with Joe Nielander and he was very informative and kind. I have a bad hand from a car accident and he tried a few different ways to help me still be able to participate. I love my piece and had a great experience at North Carolina Glass Center.

Took a make your own paperweight class with John. He’s a great instructor, patient and great at giving feedback and guidance. I feel like I learned a lot about the process and the passion needed to make a career of glass blowing. I’d highly recommend a class if you have the desire to learn about the process.
The gallery itself is out of this world. Beautiful work by the in house artists with something for any taste and price.
I’ll definitely recommend this to friends as a place to learn and buy gorgeous artwork.

Definitely a fun intro class and experience. I would've loved a longer class, but with it being summer, 30 minutes was quite alright. lol My instructor was very knowledgable, patient, and friendly as I knew nothing about glassblowing but I still managed to create something beautiful. Would highly recommend.

This experience was outstanding! Max was an awesome instructor for our whole group and was so helpful throughout the process. Our pieces turned out amazing! We will definitely be back if we are in Asheville again!

My husband and I did the 30min glass blowing class. The instructors were patient and gave great instructions. We had our glasses shipped since we were leaving the next day. They arrived safe and sound a few days later. I highly recommend if you are looking for something to do while in Asheville.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with the 30-Minute Make Your Own session at the Flame Shop! It was fun and exciting to learn something new, and a wonderful value considering you got both an awesome experience and a fun keepsake to commemorate it!

Took a 30 min make your own class and made a tumbler! My friend and I took a class at the same time, we were next to each other but had our own instructors. Everyone was so kind from check in to picking up our glass! I highly recommend taking a class here.

The 3 hour glass blowing class with Joe Nielander was such a fun experience! Very hands on and fascinating to see the process of making beautiful glass pieces start to finish. With it being just two of us we got to take home 6 pieces total! I would highly recommend this class!

We did the 3 hour glass blowing class and had a blast! Joe Nielander led us through some of the glass blowing specifics and gave us plenty of hands-on training with great guidance. I would definately recommend this fun experience to anyone looking to participate in making their own creations! We brought some beautiful glass pieces home with us!
