I rarely write reviews online , but I feel compelled to share my experience at Liberty Tax. Service was great. My tax preparer was very polite, cordial, and professional. She explained everything clearly and did a good job. My taxes are simple. Took about 15-20 minutes.Liberty Tax wanted to charge me $500! The preparer applied some discount and my amount was reduced to $370. Still crazy. I’ve never paid more than $150 to prepare my taxes.My advice if you must use Liberty Tax…MAKE SURE they clarify with you their fees and give you a rough estimate of how much it is going to cost you. They should be able to take a quick look at your docs and give an estimate. Shop around. There are plenty of professional tax preparers out there.

I literally will never go here again. My initial response was to just go and find another location based solely on the location but I figured "all he has to do is prepare my taxes. No harm no file". Right! Well I could tell he was trying to cover up the fact he had just come off of his smoke break, which the smell was horrendous being covered with some sort of after shave. He was the only person there. When he started to prepare my taxes I felt he was not very knowledgeable and was winging it. I had to file my 2014 taxes and the previous year. He didn't ask all the right question and being I know little about tax preparation and filing I didn't know how much I was screwed out of my refund until I went someplace else to file them correctly getting the return I deserved. Of course he filed the 2014 but I detested that he file my 2015. I took my 2015 earnings and deductions someplace else. I will never go back here again!
