So glad to have found this lively supermarket! The butcher is helpful with fresh meats, and the bakery is my favorite part. A little small inside, but tidy. They also have a variety of Santa Muerte candles. Friendly service, too.

The best barbacoa I ever tasted and the cakes and pies are great too! They cater mainly to Latinos but do speak english as well.

Been a while but once upon a time I needed a slab of pork belly for some Chinese braised pork belly. Came here and I will tell you right off the bat, you should wave or call out to the butcher behind the counter because they aren't just going to assume you're ready to order so don't be afraid to get their attention.Anyway, I asked if they had pork belly and he went to the cooler in the back and brought out a fresh vacuum packed whole pork belly just for me. Opened it up on the spot and cut me off a piece. It was high quality and delicious. I will come to these guys any day. The place is clean and has many types of meat.

Food here is SO good. And the best part I really think it's healthy food because I don't feel bad after eating it. Not too oily.

I cannot praise La Piedrita Carniceria enough! I’ve never been to Mexico, but I’ve brought friends who have either visited or lived in Mexico City and their eyes glow when they say this is perfectly authentic. I can only attest that this is the best food in Asheville, which is saying something.

Been there before and really liked it. Came this time to ask about sending a friend money in mexico and to get some lunch. It was like I was invisible. Nobody acknowledged me or even attempted to talk to me. Stood at the counter for ten minutes and they just ignored me. I got the message and left.
