5 stars isn't enough for the exceptional customer service I received at Johnston and Murphy in the Tanger Outlet in Asheville! Miles, the associate who assisted me, was top-notch. His knowledge of the products and polite demeanor made my shopping experience truly enjoyable. But what really blew me away was his handling of a last-minute request from another customer who had forgotten shoes for a wedding! Miles sprang into action, efficiently finding the perfect pair and getting the customer out the door in time for the ceremony. It was a masterclass in customer service. As the saying goes, 'excellent customer service is about going above and beyond to meet customer needs,' and Miles exemplified this perfectly. Kudos to Johnston and Murphy for hiring such a talented and dedicated associate. I'll definitely be back!

Been a few times over the past few months for shoes for a wedding and a new pair of golf shoes. Both men working the store are extremely knowledge, professional, and service-focused. Had a great experience each time, and I’ll be a regular going forward.

Was having some trouble finding the boot I wanted/needed. I wear 13 w so this makes finding any shoe to fit complicated. Boots even more so. Stopped by here after a recommendation from a friend. The gentleman running the store was extremely knowledgeable and quickly pointed me to the boot i was looking for, although it wasn't something they kept in store. Just got them today and they fit just as I need and are exactly what I was looking for.

While browsing the store, I was surprised to see the shoes arranged by color. The store person helped me to select a shoe that fits well and looks good on me.I visited to buy some shirts but could not get an appropriate size in the store. The store person offered to order them online. I had to refuse his offer as I always try on it before buying.

Have purchased 8+ pairs of J&M shoes & 4-5 of their dress shirts in the last 3 years. Always a great selection & good old fashioned shoe store service! The quality is really great & the designs are kept current! These Thompson Duck boots were the most recent purchase & are incredibly comfortable, with the XC4 waterproof & dual insert features. Second pair with this system & its fantastic.
