At this point most of the staff are discriminating. Me and my spouse are officers coming out of town to eat dinner at nine mile. We then walked the strip and I needed to use the restroom. Ingles was only a couple blocks away so we went into Ingles and we were looking around for the restroom and then I decided you know what we should ask. There was a lady there with gray hair, older lady with a white shirt, she could be the shift-manager or manager of the store possibly. And she already has a attitude with me and my spouse. Not only are we black, but we are also black officers and serve in the military. We had two small bags from eating earlier that evening . She follows us around the store. When we were about to leave, she tries to grab my spouses arm and my spouse pulled away from her. She then asked if what we have in the bag is from the store. My spouse looked at her and told her I’m Officer I don’t steal and she kept walking. She followed us and I turned around to her and told her I am officer as well. She then states I’m sorry but the bag and I told her that bag is from nine mile and she apologized and I waved her way. If she wanted to know the way to do it not to grab someone but to calmly ask. Even if she lied to us and said we had several shoplifting so we’re just checking. I would’ve been OK with that but don’t touch us. Being an officer you don’t accuse unless you saw it or had evidence. If you followed us and you thought we stole, you should know what’s in the bag . We never touched anything and they need to roll them cameras in that dusty store. Point blank if she went any further I would have called the cops. Zero stars if I could. I hope Corporate sees this.

The quality of the produce here is very poor. Red onions that smush in your hand if you pick them up, dripping, and discolored.

Update your new hours on Google and your website before people drive 30 minutes out of their way for zero reason like I did. This should **not** be happening, it's 2024. Absolutely Ridiculous.
And to save future people trouble since Ingles doesn't have the competency to post their new hours; they close at 10pm now. I drove this this Ingles and the Patton Ingles, and both of their websites + Google pages still show 11pm yet they now close at 10pm.

Disorganized, staff lacking knowledge of whereabouts of basic food staples.

This Ingles is NOT safe. Drug dealers whistling constantly on the property and in the store cafe. Drug addicts and homeless doing drugs on property and harassing customers at the entrances. Trash constantly on property.
People overdosing in the bathrooms and shoplifters constantly running out of the store. First responders and police are called several times a week. I would never eat anything from the bakery-donut self serve as it's touched constantly and unsanitary, by those who walk in and steal.
Staff at this location is overwhelmed by all of the above on a daily basis. As a customer, I feel horrible for them as they are limited by Ingles's corporate who will not lift a finger to assist it's employees and community by choosing to keep to outdated policies. Do better Ingles.
