This place is THE place to go for used bikes and kind mechanics who will work with you. It's not over priced, and they have some beautiful bikes!

I've taken my bike to Hearn's for almost 3 years. Clark & crew always provide top quality repairs, accessories, fair prices, etc. Best of all, I can count on getting the repairs done, nothing more and nothing less. In short they've earned my trust.

Clark is a scammer and he buys stolen bikes to resell. His mechanic Jaime is a jerk/sketchy, and wouldn't even TALK to me after I bought a $1500 electric bicycle and the suspension fork busted in the first five miles!!! He said it was my fault, that he "probably didn't ride it as hard as I did".When I put it on consignment it had 84 miles on the odometer. ..THEN when I came in to buy it, it had 145 miles on the odometer and the tires were muddy...AND the suspension fork was broken. It had a lot of travel and I asked Clark about it, he didn't even know how to turn the thing on, and Jaime kept ignoring me until I left with it.Jaime obviously took it for a joy ride and then messed up the fork and wouldn't tell me... It took weeks for me to order a new fork from the company! Super sketchy. Don't go anywhere NEAR this place unless you know what you're looking at, they will scam you.Basically "legal" thieves.

First shop I visited when I moved here and have never gone anywhere else! The service is excellent, the prices are always great, and the owner is always there to make sure my bike is in perfect shape, ready to roll. Experienced, professional and friendly. Excellent inventory for whatever you might need.

Nice bike shop...very approachable staff / owner...were helpful with answering any/all questions about their services, suggestions for biking trails around town and what's in their inventory, from small bike accessories to the extensive range of new & rehabbed bikes that they have on the sales floor/stock room. Easy to get to when in Asheville as it's conveniently located in downtown area, next to the ART (Asheville Rapid Transit) bus hub station.

Ok dropped my bike off to get worked on, when I came back to pick it up I was rushed out the door even tho i was asking about buying a bike. He wanted me to pedal it around the parking lot and see if it was fixed. which I thought was odd.i thought he should know if it was fixed or not. I knew something was off. Well his lot is flat. As soon as I left and started up a grade I knew why he rushed me off. It started popping back out of gear and the entire back wheel fell off. Very disappointed that a buisness owner would basically scam a repeat customer.

I'm an "old guy" and have had relationships with several bike stores across the country. Retired to Asheville and Hearns Cycling is tops in my book. The owner (Clark) is about as knowledgeable and honest as they come. Don't get caught up in reviews. Go in and talk to him. See for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

While a poor college student I took my bike In to have its tires checked. Had been having a few flats.I was assured it was essential to replace my tires. When I showed up a week later to pick up my bike I saw my old tires newly placed on an employees bike. After that I determined I can’t really trust them to make a fair assessment of my bike

While on vacation, stopped by Hearn Cycle shop to pick up some platform pedal adapters for cleated pedals, and they had them in stock. This gets my two stars. Went downhill from there. We asked to use the bike pump to put some air in the tires, and the guy at the shop insisted on filling them for us and used a pressurized air pump. Well, he overfilled them, and the back tube popped. He then told us that "sometimes that just happens", and took no responsibility for overfilling the tire and popping the tube. He then sold us a generic no name tube for $8. No owning up to his mistake and no offer to replace what he messed up at no charge, and no offer to install since he busted the tube. I've worked in retail myself for decades, and would have never charged a customer for my own error, would have owned up to the mistake, and would have installed a new tube at no cost. I also am fully capable of putting air in my own bike tires, and could have used the hand pump and filled the tube to the correct level. Would not recommend this shop.

Clark, the owner, is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys I know in the bike biz. I trust his recommendations and work, unlike a couple of the reviews that were not pleasant. I've never had a bad experience.
