Nice indoor shopping mall that also has stores and restaurants on the outside. There are some nice galleries and shops inside with locally designed products.

Beautiful historic and with apartments above it. What a fantasy to shop and live here. Bring lots of money. Arts, furniture, food, clothes, chakra fixing, and anything else. Mostly for shopping but get your food across the street. It may be the oldest mall in America.

If you appreciate beautiful architecture, this is an Asheville must-stop. The Arcade has been renovated with lower level retail shops with executive housing upstairs. Beautiful!

Cute place. Small shopping mall with locally owned shops. There are no large chain stores here. Parking available all around is metered, paid for with an app. You absolutely MUST try the ice cream shop inside - the most amazing ice cream I've ever had - separate review for that

My family visits Asheville frequently and we always stop by the Grove Arcade. The architecture is beautiful and the stores inside are really interesting and have a lot to offer. This time around we got to enjoy all the gorgeous Christmas decorations too! However, we had an experience with the security guard this time that left a bad taste in our mouth. When we were trying to get on the elevator to go to the 2nd floor to enjoy the view looking down onto the main floor, a security guard who was already in the elevator stood physically blocking us from getting in and told us the 2nd floor was just office spaces. We politely explained that we knew, and that our toddler enjoyed walking around the 2nd floor, but were met with a strangely passive aggressive stare and something along the lines of “fine, I guess.” He did eventually move aside and let us get on the elevator with him, but we were left wondering if we were doing something wrong by wanting to go upstairs. We left after a short period of time, feeling unwelcome. If there is a policy about limiting 2nd floor access, it should be clearly posted— if no such thing exists, visitors should be allowed to explore the building without being unnecessarily profiled. That being said, I strongly recommend everyone visiting the Grove Arcade to check out the view from the 2nd floor!

What an amazing place with an amazing shops. The architecture is one of a ki'm and there are so many offices and other places to visit. And look at all of it is beautifully maintained and well kept by the quality janitorial group

Beautiful shopping mall with beautiful architecture. The shopping mall is very small with few shops, but the place looks beautiful. Not much to do in the mall, there are no major flagship stores, but the mall looks wonderful. There are cafes and some specialty stores around the mall, but that’s it. The area around the mall is enjoyable for walking.Parking around the mall isn’t free, and the space is quite difficult to find, even in weekdays.

The architecture was beautiful but the overall experience was underwhelming. I visited here based on the brochure found at the visitors center. Hours published were 10am-8pm and the outdoor Makers Market from 10am-7pm. I arrived at 4pm and ONE store and a brewery were the only stores open. There was no place to even buy a bottle of water. The outdoor Makers Market was closed up. The restrooms were closed to keep the homeless from lounging there. This was an overall bad experience. You should go with the idea of enjoying the architecture and forget the rest.

My most favorite building downtown. If you love architecture, then you won't want to miss it. It's filled with many lovely shops, as a bonus.

The 1929 Grove Arcade is an historical gem, restored and beautiful. Browse the shops and appreciate the Art deco era architecture.

This shopping center remains me of some shopping centers I have visited in Europe: historical buildings, high ceilings with glass roof, high end shops with attractive window displays, crafted and elegant architecture details. Though much smaller than its European counterparts, Grove Arcade maintains very well and its original charm. Did not get a chance to visit stores inside. But will definitely come back.
