The staff is rudest someone has treated me in a long time. I walked in and dude didn't speak to me for a few minutes while he talked to his friend. When I finally interrupted he attempted to send me the waiver link apparently but couldn't figure it out. Instead of trying to figure it out he just walked away back into the gym with out saying a word and left me standing there for 10 mins until I decided to leave.

used to love this place - new management has committed to “not repairing or reopening the pool + sauna area” and yet are now charging an extra fee TWICE A YEAR for “maintenance”.. explain to me how you can charge more for repairs while you explicitly state you won’t repair…..
lost my business! very unfortunate because it is a great space to work out. and so it is with new, greedy management so often

They took away the pool, sauna, and steam room but never reduced the prices. Then they blamed it on covid. Well its 2024 and they have still never open back up. There is also a lot less classes here now after new ownership. Sad

Went to Patton location hoping the ac worked better than Oakley only to realize it’s not broken, it’s set to 75. Guess when I asked an employee when’s it getting fixed and he replied they’re working on it, he lied to my face. Unlike Oakley, Patton ave is clean and the staff actually friendly and acknowledged me. These owners are absent , probably investment group who are going to run the two locations into the ground spending zero on maintenance, forget any improvements make false claims of change, charge $75 a year for nothing then sell the property for land value as they did in the Arden location. How about spending $50 and replacing the water soaked brown wet ceiling tiles. Nothing screams we don’t care like neglect and indifference.

It seems like a nice gym which works with my insurance but if you self paying and have a membership it can be hard to cancel.

Toxic management. Gold's Gym NC capriciously closes their facilities expecting you to drive an hour in bumper to bumper traffic to a lesser, over crowded facility. I was asked to sign a lengthy contract and was not told the facility would close a few weeks. They will NOT let you out of their membership after lengthy requests and breaking contracts terms with alternative facilities.
Whoever is managing NC Gold's Gym has clearly architected a dysfunctional organization, disabling the staff, & front line managers. Third party payment outsourcing is incompetent and unable to know the contract terms. The staff and 3rd party Peak Performance org are empowered to do nothing. STAY AWAY FROM GOLDS GYM.

Unless you wish to burn your money, or catch a foot fungus, it's a drowning mess. We went this Saturday and basically the front desk attendant was sleeping on the counter. The walls are crumbling, the members are lethargic, it seemed almost like a twilight zone. The showers are halogen, and you can smell the mismanagement of funds to keep up with hygiene.

Can't cancel. Keeps on incurring fees in which I cannot and will not pay. Say goodbye to a loyal customer Golds Gym. Can't see how it's not thievery or how far this brand has fallen from being a proud one. Read the fine print folks, they rob you here.
