Officially, my #1 mechanic! I dropped my car off that morning, expecting in to talk a few days. Got a call that afternoon saying my car was ready. They walked me through the work they did, told me off a few more things I should keep an eye on, and when I was ready, come back to look at the other things. After leaving that day, I felt very informed and comfortable with their suggestions moving forward. Everyone was nice and easygoing. Ultimately, I was very happy with the service

I never been to the shop, but I met Joel the other day at a restaurant. He came out and inspected my car with a issue I had. He simply fixed the car in the parking lot and provided some recommendations for the future. Hands down a solid guy and will use their services.

Called this place to see their schedule. A lady named Lynn wouldn’t tell me how busy they were without knowing the problem. After I said the car wouldn’t start and gave her the make and model, she said “let me check”, presumably to check parts prices?
No idea what there is to check once you know it’s a simple battery / starter / alternator job, my entire question was what their wait time was.
Then she promptly hung up, never called back, and never answered my return calls again, I assume because the job is too small? I mean you kind of just have to laugh at how blatant they are in literally not caring about anyone but themselves. ?

just took my jeep here as i knew the quality of their mechanics...having had him as my go to for years in the past.. thorough, timely, affordable and honest. cant get better value for your dollar when it comes to shops around here. will be taking my vehicles here as long as i am able...thanks ftw.

The best experience I've had with a mechanic probably ever. Bought my daughter her first car and I'm a bit nervous sending her out in the world and wanting to be sure the car is in good order. Brought it to Joel at FTW and he looked at EVERYTHING!!! Lynn called me (she is so nice!) With a detailed report of what Joel found and what repairs were needed. I was low on cash and wanted to do the work in 2 parts, one immediately, the rest a couple weeks later. He made the right calls as to what to fix now and gave me his honest opinion on what could wait. I got detailed paperwork so I know I won't forget any minor details. I don't think I'll ever use another mechanic. They are nice, thorough, honest, and the work was done so quickly! Highly recommend, especially if the car is for someone you love and you want someone to look at it as if they were putting someone THEY love into it and sending them out on the roads. Couldn't be more pleased!

Replaced cam bolts and charged me for them without asking. Cam bolt washer is outside the slot and has a flat spot in it and has become unadjustable. I requested a replacement or refund and Joel denied my request. He said previous people that did my alignment "screwed up" when I hadn't had the cam adjusted or bolts replaced. Didn't offer to even look at it or compensate me. They used to be a decent shop, always polite, but I'd never take my car there or tell anyone else to take my car there ever again. Miss the days when it was Asheville Alignment Services not FTW.

Not very organized or professional. Joel seems like a decent guy, but the lady behind the desk seriously shouldn't be there. I asked her if they work on LS platforms and she had the audacity to ask "what is an LS" LOL get your ignorant self away from all mechanic shop and go back to whatever ditsy clueless job you had beforehand. Joel please hire knowledgeable people.

My car was making an awful noise and so I stopped at this shop (after just having some expensive repairs done somewhere else). It was the breaks. It was suggested I not drive my car. I was unsure about leaving my car someplace where I didn’t know the mechanics, but decided to go ahead. The lovely women in the office offered to drive me as I am unfamiliar with the area and couldn’t get an Uber. How about THAT for customer service!! Breaks were changed and I am back on the road! Thank you, FTW! Appreciate y’all!

Joel and Trey are the bomb. Been here many a time - they are always super responsive and have helped me with many a Subaru. Recently I got a flat on Merrimon and had to put the donut on. I rolled in and they had my tire fixed in no time flat. They have also referred me to great muffler and transmission people. Go here!
