3 stars cause it's a nice place with a nice look but their customer service skills suck. I called a month in advance to make sure their hot tub was open all year cause I wanted to treat myself. I was told I should just book through a third party that I found (Expedia) because it was cheaper. When I got there yesterday, after looking forward to it on a seven hour drive, their hot tub was broken and had been for a week. I complained because I spent more on a hotel ticket than I ever do for that amenity specifically. The manager called me back today and said he fixed it (after I left, which honestly felt like rubbing it in) and he said he can't give me a discount because I booked through a third party (which was suggested to me) and he can't give me a gift certificate or anything except on that specific location (why would I be back? I'm traveling - that's wtf a hotel is). I feel completely scammed tbh and sad because I wanted to treat myself and upset they basically told me too bad. He said I could try and contact Expedia about it but it's not Expedia's fault it took them a week to get water out of their hot tub heater. I basically got overcharged hotel prices for a bed and breakfast experience. It is pretty, though, and I like the atmosphere, and the breakfast is ok. Not a lot of choices if you're vegan, but waffle maker is fun. No bath, but the shower is big, too. Just overpriced in general. Oh, and the "pool" is 3 feet deep and the "fitness room" is like...two treadmills, some free weights, and a mirror.

The place is clean. The staff is awesome. They give you good recommendations for places to eat. The majority of Asheville is short handed and I would not recommend.

Not a location for families. if you are looking for a place to stay with your family I encourage you to stay somewhere else. We had people next tous using drugs and management from the top down did absolutely nothing and offered terrible customer service. Highly recommend staying somewhere else.

The absolute worst hotel stay EVER!!!!!We booked this hotel last minute through Expedia house we are coming through town on our way to a vacation Destination I needed somewhere to stay. We didn't arrive until almost 1 AM yesterday after being on the road for more than nine hours. Once we arrived the young lady working the desk was very friendly but she told us she was a temp and had no idea what she was doing. And that she also had no idea if she had any rooms left despite us booking online through Expedia an hour prior . She makes us wait for about an Half an hour, then she finds a room for us. We request a late check out as we got in super late and she told us no problem stay until 3PM- 4 PM no rush take your time and House Cleaning won't bother you . For the most part everything goes smooth sailing other than there seems to be a lot of druggie people in the area. As we're getting ready to leave the hotel, we had emergency come up with our daughter who is away at school , so we had to take a phone call that delayed us a bit. Mary Ella the maid comes to our door at 2:50 PM and we tell her we're not done yet but we will be done soon. She leaves then comes back promptly at 3 PM on the dot and then her whole tone changes, she proceeds to be very aggressive with my wife and demands that we leave. She then proceeds to wait outside the door, then at 3:03 PM she knocks again and I answer the door. I tell her that we will call the front desk and handle it with them, I spoke to the young lady at the front desk whose name I did not catch, she tells us to take our time no rush. Then I tell Mirellla that we got a handle at the front desk and she can leave, she agrees to leave. I'm assuming she went down the front desk and became confrontational with them as well, because she came stopping back up to our room knocking on the door again and telling us to leave right away, I tell her that I'm not gonna deal with her hostile behavior and I call the front desk again. I demanded that they come up and deal with her as she's an employee of the staff and this is uncalled for and I've done everything right at this point. At this point we are frantically trying to get our items to leave as her behavior is becoming more and more and aggressive and alarming. Once we get our stuff to the car the front desk staff says they can't control her and she ranks above them, I've never had such a hostile experience at a hotel in my life. I hope everyone reads this review and stays anywhere else but the Fairfield Inn @ Asheville North Carolina. I hope their general manager Valerie Saracco sees this and contacts me right away as I will be sharing the review with every site I can as this is beyond unacceptable.

I stayed here for a night for free courtesy of free nights from Hotels.com, and I had booked a king bed but was upgraded to a king suite! Sweet! I checked in around 6:30PM on a weekday evening, and there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. Staff was super friendly and really fast with check-in, and everything was super clean and pleasant. My room was big, bed was firm and plenty of light to go around. Couch and desk were great too, and the shower was awesome. Everything was very comfortable! Free breakfast too the next day with various cereals, oatmeal, juices, yogurt, bagels, and spreads. Good location as it's not in downtown but very close, and there are tons of grocery shops nearby too. Would recommend![Note: this is my 3000th Yelp review! Woohoooo!]

Pretty good hotel overall. We stayed here two nights and the service was nice and friendly. The breakfast was not good because of covid so not there fault. My kids liked the exercise room and it was nice clean. The beds were good the pilllows were not. The shower was refreshing. It had two TVs in the room which was great because me and wife could watch something and kids watch something else. What woke me up this morning was this crazy dude yelling outside the building for no reason at all. Just kept walking around the hotel screaming at something for 20 minutes not sure what's up with that

We stayed here for one night and it was fine. The location is about a 5 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Parking is free and the hotel has been renovated. The rooms are a good size and the decor is modern. The beds were comfortable and we were on the back side of the hotel, so noise was not a factor. Not sure what it would have been like on the street side as it is on a busy road. There is a small indoor pool and hot tub, which we took advantage of. There was a limit of 5 people in the whole area for this amenity. I did notice that the gym was open as well with limited capacity. The breakfast was pre-bagged, not even grab and go, so you could not pick out what you wanted. It consisted of a banana, granola bar, muffin, and water. That is why this is a 3-star review.
