DO NOT CONSIGN HERE!!! She will cheat you blind and act like it’s your fault. For example, the fine print in her contract says, “Unsold items are donated after 60 days…Any items pulled before 60 days will be subject to a $5 fee per item.” She assured me of a $50-$75 percentage for an item $180 new. When it hadn’t sold, I let her know I wanted to pick it up. When I went to get it, she told me she sold it for $58 “last night.” She handed me $21. Her inventory is basically stolen.

I just want to warn anyone who wants to consign with Enchanted Forest on Merrimon Avenue. I just went in to use my credit after having brought in several high priced items prior to the pandemic. The owner informed me that my credit had "expired" even though she never alerted me to the fact that the credit could/would expire at any point when setting up my account, nor was I ever notified that it was about to expire at any point. If you've consigned there in the past, you may want to rush in and make sure you get the money you are entitled to. Like many of you, I was not actively shopping or visiting retail stores during the period of the pandemic and I felt that this should have been taken into consideration.

Good selection of vintage clothing, of all types, from outerwear to lingerie, formal wear to casual. I did a lot of window shopping and enjoying the variety because the clothes were quite expensive. An outfit from there would easily be in the triple digits with a minimum of clothes to show for it.

"Heart" this place! This is 5 star+++ sort of Vintage, Retro & On Trend fashion shop! What a lovely find - so very much like the adorable vintage, 2nd hand clothing & so much more shops that used to proliferate in NYC (such as The Antique Boutique, Screaming Mimi's, Reminiscence, Canal Jeans Co., etc.). It was a great blast from the past for me the moment I walked into "The Enchanted Forrest", the well curated and visually engaging shop on Merrimon Avenue. Danielle, the owner, puts her years of fashion retail and consignment business experiences to effective use as she does a GREAT job of merchandizing the charming store and its extensive collection of gently used vintage and on-trend clothes, shoes, bags & jewelry (including one of a kind gift ware/creations/designs from local artists) with most everything for sale offered at very reasonable price points. I enjoyed shopping there and conversing with the very affable Danielle that I made it to the store twice in the one week that I was in Asheville and ended up snagging a gorgeous pair of well cared for Lucchese boots at a fantastic price. Shopping "The Enchanted Forrest" is now a "must do" whenever I get a chance to visit Asheville and highly recommend anyone making the trip or already living there to do the same! (I found it very easy to get to it from downtown Asheville where I was staying.) You can get a taste of the great finds and shopping fun to be had in The Enchanted Forrest by checking out their website:

This is such a great store to find unique clothes and accessories! The owner is personable, friendly, and extremely helpful. She has a tasteful eye for unique and unusual one of a kind items as well as classy vintage finds. I will always return to this sweet shop anytime I am in Asheville.

I'd like to mention for anyone looking for a cheap consignment store this isn't the place. But I suppose it has relatively lower prices for fancy brands.

Disappointed with bringing things a few years ago and no record of it to give payment to me for sold items.. I had beautiful original art on silk long vests and several other items…Other consignment stores keep records for years.. why not here? I will not ever consign here again! :(

Some of my favorite clothes have come from this store. One of my favorite places to shop. Affordable prices, fashionable and good brands, and good sales.

This consignment shop is a treasure. The collection of clothing is always wonderfully curated with lots of thoughtful additions sprinkled throughout the store. From handmade jewelry to fantastic vintage hats, there is so much here to enjoy. The owner is kind, attentive and very helpful. I brought my mother who finds shopping difficult and she had a wonderful time. She found lots of great items and enjoyed a lovely conversation with the owner. We look forward to many more visits.

While on vacation in Asheville looking for the perfect unique gift for my lovely wife, I came across the most fascinating shop in all of Asheville. Such a unique enchanting name, it drew me in. The lady who owns the business, Danielle, was absolutely amazing! She helped me find the perfect gift. I would recommend checking out this lovely shop.

The enchanted forest is by far the best consignment store in Asheville. Not only does the store have designer labels at a great price but also local art work and hand stitched speciality items. The owner is also so sweet and helpful

Cute clothes, waaay to pricey for “consignment” prices. The owner/person working was a extremely rude, told me she had a “problem” with items I wanted to purchase, told us to shop in the clearance rack as if we were not the kind of people to shop in her store, and all around was pretentious white woman.
