Very nice hotel. Spacious, great ambiance. Kasey was superb, very friendly and welcoming. I checked in, and went to my room to unwind. I had driven from New Jersey. I loved the room and the view of the mountains. After a short nap, I went to the E'terie restaurant to have a drink and a meal. Brazil was marvelous. He worked the bar like a master. I did feel he could've used some help. It was extremely busy, and as one who travels a lot, I must say: I've never been to a bar where one individual has to do so much work. Nonetheless, he made it happen.
I ordered an item that wasn't on the menu (baked Honey BBQ wings with sauteed vegetables). There wasn't much of a selection when it comes to wings, nor is there a selection of sides, with the exception of fries and potato barrels. However, the Chef accommodated me. The wings were magnificent! What made me cry is seeing Chef Max(?) PERSONALLY bring the meal to my table. I felt like a Queen. He conversed with me (as well with other patrons) and took the time to check on my table. I wanted to tip him, but he politely declined (to which I understood).
The bad, and it's VERY bad.
$30 valet parking is absurd. I guess this is one of the hidden charges they have. Capitalism at its best Furthermore, pulling into the hotel is an accident waiting to happen. Whoever designed the entrance and parking areas should be fired.
The entrance to the hotel is extremely narrow. It reminded me of some of the roads I traveled in Europe. It's VERY narrow, and if you don't watch it it, you'll run head on with another vehicle leaving the property. I drive a BMW...a relatively small model. When turning into the drive, I nearly got popped by an SUV exiting. I can't blame the other driver. He barely had enough room to exit. Moreover, if you decide to take a drive, you'd better hope the hotel isn't busy. The reason being, you will spend a very long time in a line running out into public street blocking traffic.
Lastly, the parking spaces are very tight...much tighter than anywhere I've been. I'm a bit of an amazon (5'11, 190), but still, even with cars parked perfectly within the spaces, it's VERY HARD getting out of your car. If you are a man/woman of large stature, you may want to pay that $30 valet fee. You're not getting out of your car. If you drive a large vehicle (SUV, Truck), God Bless You. Life will be tough when it comes to parking. I guess they made the spaces so small to force you to pay the $30 valet fee.
Rooms: 5
Food/Bar: 5
Friendliness: 5
Parking/Accessibility: -2 (yes, that's negative 2).
Rooms: Very spacious. Quiet. Great views of Asheville.
Nearby activities: Two parks within 10 minutes (on foot) from the hotel. Tennis courts at one of them. There's another park 5 minutes away (driving) also with tennis & basketball courts. All have picnic benches in the shade.
Safety: Relatively safe area. I wouldn't venture through Aston Park after dark. Don't cross the bridge to take a walk after 9 PM.
Walkability: There's an arena within walking distance (5 minutes). Events going on all of the time, from.what I saw on the marquuee.
The Orange Peel is about a 20 minute walk. They have Live entertainment. A lot of places do, actually.

The rooms are very nice and the hotel is within walking distance to a lot. Unfortunately I found a worm on my cauliflower from one of their restaurants though. Also, it would be nice for the restaurants to have a vegan option.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay recently. The hotel is new, spotless and lovely, the staff were all friendly and accommodating, and the views of Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge were stunning. Breakfast (a combination of made to order and buffet offerings) was also excellent. Two standout members of the staff were Brittany (front desk) who is an engaging and welcoming presence in the lobby, and Sean Moline, who manages the rooftop restaurant, Soprana. He, along with our excellent server Erin, helped make our dining experience awesome. The food was excellent, too! My only complaint, and it's a very small one, is that the hotel entrance isn't the easiest to find. However, once around the block got us there in the end, and I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Asheville!

Today is Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 9:30 PM. I just called this hotel and spoke with Kasey, the front desk clerk. I had questions before finalizing a four night stay for $2,000+ (I had already booked the stay on my Hilton Honors account as a cancellable reservation - I'm sure glad I did that). She cut me off, told me to look at the website and didn't offer a lot more information - I felt, overall, like she was just downright rude and probably didn't belong in hospitality. The questions I asked had to do with the following:
1) $30 valet parking fee per day ($120 for my four day stay) and whether the valet's treatment of the vehicle was insured (one reviewer said he had wheel damage and they denied paying for the claim even after his insurance company got involved). In previous reviews, several patrons had raised concerns about the required valet fee and management responded they would look into it in their response.
2) What is included in the evening reception (she said two drinks and crackers) and what is included in the breakfast buffet (she said omelettes and what every other breakfast buffet offers)...I asked for clarity because I was comparing the breakfast buffet offering to other hotels like Hampton Inn right down the road. She told me to look at the website; I did and I asked her where I would find the information on their website - she looked at it and said "it says, 'free made-to-order breakfast." So there, now I guess that should answer all my questions.
And this is all BEFORE I even arrive at the hotel. I'd hate to encounter any problems at the hotel and have to work with Kasey to get them resolved at the front desk.
Overall, I was shocked by how Kasey handled the call - after all it was a $2,000 reservation. I'm now calling around to explore options; as soon as I find something satisfactory, it is likely I will cancel this reservation. Simply put, Kasey did not handle the call the way I would expect anyone in hospitality to address the questions I asked. They were reasonable questions. I am very disappointed.

Recently stayed here for work. The hotel was immaculate, the employees were friendly, and the breakfast was great! I would recommend a self-park option for guests. The garage was near the main entrance and even if it was the upper floors it would still be better than valet only.

We were there with our kids and it was a very good stay! The place is very new, spacious and clean. My kids loved the pool. The room has a nice set up, very good for families. The breakfast buffet was very good, spacious, lot's of options.

Great place, beautiful hotel, great valet parking crew. At the front desk, they can be happier or have a better attitude. They did help out in what I needed, but I didn't feel that welcoming. Felt I was bothering them more than anything.

I travel a lot and will be traveling more to Asheville since my son now goes to school there, but I don’t plan to stay at this hotel again. Check in attendant was rushed (no, it was not busy when we checked in), and they charge $30 per day for valet, when it’s normally per night. So, for a one night stay I paid two parking fees. And the pool was freezing, seriously. My family and I swim a lot and we all could barely get in. The hotel was pretty nice and rooms were clean, but so are other nearby hotels that don’t nickel and dime you, and offer a better overall experience.

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in downtown Asheville for five nights during our vacation, and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. As someone who travels frequently for work, it was refreshing to stay in a hotel that exudes such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in a breeze. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable haven after a day of exploring Asheville.
Two staff members, in particular, stood out for their exceptional service. Heath at the valet was always accommodating and eager to help out in any way possible. His genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with our needs made a significant impact on our overall experience. He was a pleasure to deal with and always had a smile on his face.
Additionally, the breakfast chef was a highlight of our mornings. Although I regret not getting his name, his pleasant demeanor and skill in preparing our eggs and omelets to perfection added a personal touch to our stay. Each morning, we looked forward to his delicious creations and warm greetings, which set a positive tone for the rest of the day.
The hotel itself was impeccably clean and maintained, with housekeeping staff ensuring our room was always in top condition. The common areas were inviting and well-kept, providing a relaxing environment to unwind.
The location of the Embassy Suites is also worth mentioning. Being in downtown Asheville meant we were within walking distance of many great restaurants, shops, and attractions. This convenience allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the local culture and enjoy all that the city has to offer.
Overall, our stay at the Embassy Suites in downtown Asheville exceeded our expectations. The combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location made our trip memorable. We were very happy with our experience and look forward to coming back soon.

Great place to stay. They did not honor a price match but that's more on Hilton than the actual hotel.

10/10 no notes! I work in hospitality and am incredibly picky. This hotel is lovely - kind staff, very clean, bright and comfortable rooms and a great rooftop restaurant with the best view in the city. The location is less than half a mile from the shopping/restaurant/art district and was the perfect stop for our one night in town!
Nearby activities: Shopping, bars and restaurants and a library.
Walkability: Tremendously walkable
