East Fork makes exceptionally well-made pottery and you can see all the current glazes in their Asheville store! It is really helpful to be able to compare the different sized bowls and plates, since figuring out exactly what you might want for dinnerware by shopping online can be tricky (they have so many options for bowls!). They also sell beautiful silverware and other home goods here. This store is definitely worth visiting when in Asheville!

Love this place. Not cheap of course, but worth it. It feels like a mix of an art space and a shop. Grabbed a mug (finally!) and am happy about it. The people who worked there were friendly, too.

We love EF! We came in to look at colors and forms when we decided to upgrade our dishware and the staff was helpful and happy to let us play around with color combinations. We ended up purchasing a mix of new and seconds pieces - some of the seconds I can’t even tell the difference from the firsts. I was worried about shipping but everything arrived safe and sound. When I bought a few mugs for gifts this Christmas, one did break in transit and EF sent a replacement immediately!
Also, don’t miss their candles. They are amazingly mellow, natural scents that are unexpectedly good. My favorite is the black mountain Forage Moon scent which smells like freshly turned earth - a perfect gift for the gardener in your life!

My experience was that they will not stand by their product once it leaves their door, even if it’s a manufacturing defect or quality issue.
After less than six months of very light use, hand washing and not being dropped, my mug cracked clean through along the wall of the mug. Store employee that inspected the mug said that the crack was highly irregular but only offered a 20% off on a replacement. Customer Care Team offered the same thing without even asking to see the mug.
I really have loved this mug. Great feel and a beautiful piece of pottery, but I’m not willing to risk buying another if this happens again.

I bought service for 12 in assorted colors and 6 mugs. They are absolutely beautiful! Customer service was friendly and patient (I had questions lol), the delivery was speedy and the packaging was beyond wow. I 100% recommend this beautiful pottery and great people to anyone looking for something new, excellent quality and a real eye popping table setting. Thank you!

I ordered the small black mountain candle thru their website. I love the pottery color which is described as a raven in moonlight. It is the perfect size to place on a desk. The Scent developed and poured by Joya Studios is a blend of Hinoki, Mushroom, Dirt and Firewood. It truly delivers on my expectations of the smell of the woods after an afternoon storm. I was raised along "the grade" near Ceasar's Head, Sc; this candle is a reminder of the woods I used to wander in for hours.

My kids and I have been collecting East Fork Pottery for a few years now and love adding pieces. I just bought both of my kids the weekend bowl in the new color Mollasses and it is STUNNING!! The new color is a beautiful rich brown and the glaze has the smoothest texture. It feels smother than any other item I’ve gotten so far and all of their glazes feel great already. The bowl somehow looks like is made of the softest leather . Both kids (adults) were so happy to receive the bowl for their birthdays. It’s was a great standalone gift and I highly recommend it if you are looking to gift one special piece of pottery in a phenomenal color that goes with everything. My daughter put it right out on a credenza under her tv on the wall for decor but said she can’t wait to cook something to serve in it. The new color Nightswim is also in the same smooth finish and just as beautiful and almost as neutral. Eastfork hasn’t missed with their blues and greens. I got a Coup Bowl for myelf in Nightswim. I find this shape bowl the best for pasta/bowl meals and love adding to my stack.
