My two boys ages 7 and 11 love this store! They always find a new Lego set when we go. Def recommend for kids of all sizes. They even have some fun adult stuff too like desk puzzles etc.

I just visited this little place with my girlfriend and enjoyed looking around at all of the neat stuff. Particularly enjoyed a hilarious exchange with the two staff members at the counter, both people were pleasant and funny which I appreciate.

As a dad to two little kids, I love toy stores. Also as someone who gets a dopamine hit from nostalgia, I love toy stores. Add in when they're local, fairly priced, and have great toys and games and we've got ourselves a winner! I sort of happened to crane my neck at just the right time to catch this little spot, nestled into a nook in downtown Asheville. Glad I did as I always like to bring my girls back something from my trips, and it's the holiday season. I'm familiar with a lot of these toys, having stepped and tripped over them over the years. There are some great ones that range from infant all the way up to the pre-teen age when they're too cool to play with them anymore. TL;DR; fun, local toy store that you should visit!

Such a cute shop!! Has things I've never even seen before! The prices are pretty reasonable, the smaller stuff especially. Great place to find gifts for anyone, no matter the age.

What a wonderful toy store. Victoria was kind enough to open up the store early for me and my daughter on a rainy day. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about everything in the store, but she was so kind to my daughter. I'm so glad we got to spend some time in Curio, hope we can get back very soon.

What a fabulous toy store! I reluctantly brought my three very spoiled children in, and eventually promised I'd get them things that they could do on the car ride home. The person working there was incredibly helpful and helped each of my three find something age appropriate that catered to their interests. Bonus: my three year old had fallen on the sidewalk outside, and she enthusiastically grabbed her first aid kit and helped with his tiny booboo (Itty bandaid). Just amazing service at a very cute and well stocked store.

The sweetest people work here. The two workers were super helpful and kind. The store itself had a told of merchandise and it ranged from cheap to pricey. The point, however, is that there is something for all. If you are looking for a gift for a kiddo, this is the spot. The store itself is organized well and thought out. They have a lot of staples as well as creative items that I've never seen before.

If I could rate lower I would such a bad experience with staff thinking they can talk down to fathers looking at toys with kids. Will be contacting manager Monday with details of experience. Awful intitled rude worker. Would not support again will never recommend. Sorry trasheville this is why our town is suffering

This store is well worth a visit! Lots of soft cuddly plushies and other assorted toys and games. Our cashier, Vea, was so kind and friendly! I definitely recommend checking this place out :)

I have stopped here many times over the years since its opening. I've bought a few things here and there for my daughter since she was 2 or 3. I just bought her a Van Gogh painting set of The Starry Night today, she's 9 now

Curio is the happiest, friendliest toy store in Asheville. I have been coming here with my children for years and have always been treated with kindness, consideration and enthusiasm. The staff here genuinely love children, so the atmosphere is light hearted and fun. The selection of toys is great, especially for a small store. I also love that the store it’s on the small side because my children don’t get so overwhelmed or tempted by toys way outside our budget. Its location is fabulous because we can pop in whenever we are downtown. I can also get my children to go to art galleries with me if I promise them we’ll go to Curio afterward! Since I’m an artist this is a huge perk!

This is the cutest shop with very unique toys, etc. The manager was so helpful shipping a birthday gift for my son. It arrived as was expected and it was even gift wrapped!
