Working with Charlton was a key element to the success of our "to the studs" renovation. Charlton is an excellent listener and was able to incorporate our ideas into his finished design work while at the same time, he guided us through decisions in areas that seemed murky to us. As the house was uninhabitable for nearly a year, we moved out of state for the interim. Charlton served as our point man on the job. Initially that can be a bit unsettling but early on we realized we were extremely well represented and that he was looking out for our best interests the entire time.

We utilized Charlton Bradsher for design services for a complete renovation of our 1960s kitchen, including the addition of a new mudroom and entryway, and updates to the exterior of our home over the course of the past year. The Hands of Sean Perry Co. served as the contractor.We are extremely happy with Charlton's work and the results. In addition to being a skilled designer, he is dependable and a pleasure to work with. A highlight of working with him on the kitchen was his creation of a fantastic layout including cabinetry and lighting plans that gave us a beautiful and highly functional new space. He was solid on the basics and then added lots of creative thinking for the finishes. He was a good communicator and was committed to helping us achieve a wonderful remodel from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Our challenge was transforming two bathrooms in a 60's brick ranch into a contemporary haven. Charlton delivered a design that included a modest, cantilevered expansion that allowed for more space in both rooms. His aesthetic was spot-on with our vision and his creative solutions included a much appreciated cost consciousness. He stayed in close contact with both us and the building contractors throughout the project. A five-star experience for sure!

Charlton totally succeeded in re-designing the small galley kitchen in our West Asheville bungalow by opening up the space and creating a modern functional kitchen which upgraded the feel of the whole house while respecting the budget constraints that had to be followed.

Working with Charlton was the best decision that we have ever made for our home. He took organic pieces of the room and built off of the beauty that was there. We weren't faced with daunting renovations or radical changes. Charlton's recommendations were usable and realistic. They brought beautiful design elements into our home, making it clean and modern but with a traditional air. The ease which we had working with him was a bonus to the incredibly successful design plan. Charlton was gentle, yet sure of himself and his sense of style and expertise put us all at ease. Our work together felt like a collaboration. Our ideas and concerns were addressed fully and integrated. Where we were confused and overwhelmed, we now felt relief, confidence, and excitement. I cannot begin to express our appreciation for the amazing work done by Charlton and his team of experts. They took a well worn and dated restaurant interior and totally transformed it to a fresh, open more efficient design. We are able to do more covers with less seating. The customers are amazed at the transformation and frankly so are we. Thank you so much Charlton and Crew. You knocked this one out of the park.....

I recommend Charlton without hesitation. I had been wanting to renovate my kitchen for some time yet as someone without design experience found the expense daunting and had difficulty putting my ideas into a manageable plan. Once Charlton became involved I had a plan I loved and was able to gut my old kitchen and begin anew with confidence. My home has been transformed as a result and I look forward to working with Charlton again in the future.

Excellent full service interior designer. They also have a showroom downtown with really cool vintage and original furniture pieces.
