Brian did a great job in taking away an old spa and enclosure. He left the site very clean. I would reccomend his services. CM

Their craftsmanship was matched by their hospitality. Five stars seem insufficient.

We had purchased an end table from a crafts person at one of the Berea Kentucky craft fairs. We figured we'd get one at a time, based upon their price. However, when we went to get another one, he was no longer exhibiting. Then we remembered Brian's absolutely stunning works of art.. yes, they're functional, but they're heirloom quality. Our 2 tables are gorgeous and actually are better made than the table we purchased years ago from that unknown crafts person at the Berea Crafts Fair. Brian is a gifted... gifted... gifted furniture maker, artisan, heirloom creator... choose your pick! barb thompson (richmond, KY)

Brian Boggs is literally the best chair maker of our lifetime. You can’t buy a better wood chair anywhere else!

It's hard to make a really comfortable wooden chair. But Boggs' Sonus chair is one of the most comfortable ones I've ever sat in. It's become my favorite desk chair in my office.

Brian did a fantastic job of taking us through his shop and demonstrating some of his chair making processes and tools. He also spent a great deal of time telling us about his business, his employees and his designs. Great tour.

Brian generously gave a presentation and a tour of his shop to our woodworking hobby group. Gave us a lookback at his journey to create and own a successful business that combines not only beautiful wood, and intricate joinery, but also amazing engineering skills, to produce the most comfortable wooden chair I've ever sat upon!

Brian spent 2 full hours with our group of woodworkers (the Western NC Woodworkers Association) earlier this month -- the first hour was a comprehensive discussion that covered the evolution of Brian's chair designs culminating in his latest designs of the Cio Collection. We then were rewarded with detailed demonstrations of the advanced joinery techniques Brian and his team use to assemble these chairs, including making tapered tenons, cutting corresponding tapered mortises, and bending the compound curved slats for the chair backs. He finished his demonstration showing several advanced bandsaw compound cutting techniques for creating the graceful legs and arms for these unique chairs. A superb hands-on session with a true master!

As a woodworking enthusiast, I decided to take a tour of the workshop yesterday afternoon. I was expecting to see a lot of expertly crafted furniture, tight fitting joints, and beautiful pieces of wood. What I wasn't expecting was the cleverness and ingenuity Brian and his team display in the design of the manufacturing fixtures and machinery. It is clear to me that the artistry of Brian's team extends well beyond the furniture itself. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone interested in furniture, woodworking, or small manufacturing. And if nothing else, you get to experience the furniture in person, the website simply can't capture the reality of the pieces nor can you experience the comfort of the chairs through pictures.

Visiting Asheville, North Carolina, from out of town, we wandered into the Boggs' showroom on a rainy weekday afternoon. I dabble in woodwork and wanted to see a Boggs' chairs in person. I think Melanie and Brian were wrapping up their day; but, they welcomed us graciously and paid us a generous amount of attention, guiding us through the showroom and answering many questions. Brian even allowed us a peak into his work space and explained details of materials, process, and tools.

Looking for stuff to see in Asheville, NC and found Brian Boggs Chairmakers on Trip Advisor. As an amateur woodworker, the place caught my eye. To call Brian a ”chair maker”, while accurate, is like calling DaVinci a painter. Our guided tour was given by Brian himself and was fascinating. You need know nothing about woodworking, just an appreciation for beauty and function taken to new heights. Like DaVinci, he is an artist, a craftsman, an engineer, an inventor, a mechanic and .....always searching. The vintage tools, each with a story, the dozens of handmade jigs and patterns, the original designs and the elegant product were a pleasure to see. His passion was plainly evident. Well worth the time.

You’ll learn a lot about chair design from Brian. Nicest man ever and plenty inventory to try out in his showroom.
