My friend and I had a lesson with Sandy today. We had so much fun in a beautiful studio!! If you are looking for an intro to pottery but not ready to commit the time and money to a weeks long class this is the perfect place to start! Sandy was a calm, kind and exceptional teacher! So helpful and knowledgeable and committed to helping us succeed. We left with a new respect for potters and excited to receive our finished pieces. Thank you, Sandy!

I had the best time in my class. Sandy was such a patient teacher and clearly wanted me to have a great time, learn something and make the pottery I made exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend taking a class. I actually received the class as a gift from my family. so fun!

Had an amazing time! My girlfriend and I had a pottery lesson with Sandy and the experience was unforgettable. Definitely one of the best things to do in Asheville. Sandy was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Their work is also amazing. Unique and one of a kind art pieces. Inspired us to take up pottery as a hobby.

This is a wonderful experience. I accompanied my 3 teenage g-children there and they had so much fun being creative and Sandy was the very best teacher. He has them wanting to do more wheel. Great great place and the art that Sandy and his wife do is amazing! So unique.

Had a great time learning skills to make beautiful pottery !! Patient , friendly instructor . Felt very safe as all socially distant practices were in place during our time at this open air studio . Can’t wait to get my 4 pieces back from the kiln !

Incredible. Ann was the best. Her teaching was a perfect mix of instructing and letting you try your own things. The studio atmosphere is unmatched and her pottery is amazing. If you want a best in class experience for a pottery class I would 100% recommended Batton clayworks!

This experience was absolutely amazing! My husband and I took the 2-hr class and couldn't have been happier! Not only getting our hands dirty but learning the fundamentals as we go along. WE LOVE ANN & SANDY!
