We had SO much fun gem mining. Kids (2, 7, 11) and 4 adults! We split a $100 bucket between all of us and came home with bag fulls of good sized rocks, gems, crystals. The owner was very engaged and enthusiastic and offered a wonderful experience for all of us. I HIGHLY recommend Ashville's Best Gem Mine.

My friend and I made a visit here today and had the absolute best time! There are quite a few gem mining places in the area and I am so so glad we decided to spend our time here. Holly and Olivia were so incredibly kind and answered all of our questions throughout our visit. We split a bucket and both of us came away with so many great finds. I’m planning another trip to the area soon and will likely extend my stay so I can visit Asheville’s Best Gem Mine again. Highly recommended!!

Had a great time with the owners, who loved showing off their rare collection. I was actually giddy at the prospect of touching a hadrosaur egg, and the cabbed opals were phenomenal! They know their stuff and are happy to share with fellow rockhounds.

We had a great time at Asheville’s Best Gem Mine! The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the gems. They were very patient with our 3 kids and answered all their questions. Fun family experience worth doing!

We had a fantastic time and Holly did such an amazing job identifying and explaining all about the gems.
Our kids and adults also had a great time and we ended up with a ton of beautiful gems!

Every trip we’ve made to Asheville’s Best Gem Mine has been wonderful! Last time we went, we brought some out of town family with small children and the kids had a BLAST learning about their finds. The owner is a wonderful teacher, lovely, kind, and helpful!

Took the kids to go gem mining. The owners are very kind and caring people. They are very knowledgeable and make it easy for the kids to not only have fun, but it is a learning experience as well. Thank you for the great Experience.

Rocky and Holly clearly have a passion for what they do. I brought my family and we had a great time for a few hours.
We found all sorts of precious and semi-precious stones/gems!
Really fun - highly recommend!
