The facility needs more handicapped parking spaces. Anytime you go in the morning, the current spaces are all full. This makes it difficult or impossible for people with physical disabilities to have access to the facility.

Pool is always extremely busy. Not enough life guards over weekends. Locker rooms are dated, but people are friendly and nice.

I love the variety of class options, racquetball courts, and access to all kinds of gym equipment. The staff is super friendly and very inclusive. I highly recommend this location!

Can not express how accommodating cheerful and hospitable Jada at the front desk is. She is all about customer service! The Y should be thankful to have her.

I love everything about the YMCA, especially the Woodfin location where I work out. It doesn't have a pool, and it certainly is short of space. But it does have a "community" feel that makes it special. It's like the Cheers of YMCAs. Everybody knows your name! The front desk people are always friendly and welcoming. The instructors and personal trainers are great. Jessica Medlin does a great job juggling the various class schedules. I could go on and on.I proudly volunteer and the Woodfin Y and gratefully serve on its Advisory Board. It really is a welcoming and inclusive space, with a focus on physical and emotional well being.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The north pool has so many swim lanes for lap swim almost all day long every day.

What do I love about the YMCA? Smiling faces! Inclusive programming and pricing! Ever since I moved to Western North Carolina 20 years ago, I have been involved with the YMCA. As a mother of 8, the family plans were my go to, and this meant that I could bring my children to swim at the Corpening Y in Marion when they were little. Now that they are all grown up and we live in Swannanoa, we enjoy the many facilities and programs on this side of the mountain. I am truly grateful for all that the Y has to offer! - Melissa Henry

I love the classes because they make me do things I would not do if left to my own devices. It's great to have the chance to make friends and also to be able to visit other Ys when traveling

I love the Y and for me it’s a perfect place to practice spinning in my Cyr wheel. The classes are fun too. The trainers are very friendly and supportive. They want to see you grow through your training and make you feel special. I also like running into people I know.

Good Y with lots of sports from swimming to racquetball. Pickleball in the gym is very popular. The Y is a bit dated and looks like a new one will be built in a couple of years.

I come to this ymca almost everyday and almost always have a good experience. They have some very nice staff, however some of the gym equipment is outdated and some newer machines should be implemented. Overall I give it a good 4/5

The Asheville Y is such a positive community. I really enjoy the classes - I've never been a class person until I joined this Y. Tim in particular is a positive influence on the whole environment and a great class instructor.

I'm grateful for the Financial Assistance program allowing me to pay based off of my income. It is really great for me to be using the gym. I go swimming about 3-4 times a week and it's great for my mental health. The staff are always awesome and knowledgeable as well.

Great place to have your workouts. The only place in town to get a good handball game, too. In fact, if you play, cmon down and meet some of the other seasoned players.
