I booked massages and the salt cave for my sister, myself, and mother for Mother’s Day. We had the most amazing and relaxing time. I would 100% recommend Asheville Salt Cave and Massages!

I love coming to AVL Salt Cave! The salt cave itself is a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvanating experience. I also recently started coming in for a monthly massages and those have also been amazing! I've seen two of the therapists: Micheal and Nicole and both equally great! They each have their unique style but both will leave you feeling new again! My only suggestion would be to have dimmer lighting in the massage rooms. Takes me a while to wind down and having rooms dimmer would add to the overall wonderful experience!

Hey everybody! This is actually a very beautiful space. My favorite part of my first experience here was actually standing on the back porch and looking at the mountains. I gave a lower review of my experience in the salt cave for 2 reasons. One is the sound. After hearing about how this business moved from its old location at least in part because of intolerable sounds entering the salt cave, I was sad to see that this present salt cave has the constant sound of people on the floor above, walking, stomping, etc. It wasn't possible for me to relax with that sound going on. (I see responders to other reviews saying things like "just take the sounds into your meditation". That's not really where I'm at at this point. I want quiet relaxation.) The other thing I thought was weird is that this salt cave doesn't use a halogenerator --or maybe they just didn't turn it on? Every salt cave I've been to before uses this device to spread small particles of salt into the air of the cave, enhancing and tremendously deepening the experience of being in the cave. I would say that the effect of not using one in this salt cave means the experience is about one-tenth as powerful as my experiences in other caves. I've been truly surprised at how relaxed I felt in other salt caves where there was more quiet and where they used a halogenerator. But the combination of these 2 factors in Asheville means I won't be going back. It's a shame, really, because I think this space had lots of potential.

Me and my husband visited the salt caves for our anniversary. It was OK at best! For the prices I was expecting it to be amazing, above and beyond others but the massage therapist I go to on a regular basis is by far better. The facility itself it’s nice but my therapist was not good. She was nice just not very good at giving a massage. At the end they escorted us upstairs and asked if we would like to leave a $100 tip in a very loud voice..um no thanks! We will not be back and highly recommend against this place. The owner of this business, Jodie, called me on Monday, and was very nice at the beginning of the call and asked what we were dissatisfied with, and I told her. She agreed to refund a portion of the money charged but then but became very defensive and hateful near the end of the call when I told her one of my complaints and ended up hanging up on me. I thought this was very rude and unprofessional. I also still have not received the refund for the amount she agreed on!!!! However, I’m not surprised, as it seems to be par for the course for this business. I highly recommend to everyone to avoid this business and go elsewhere.

A wonderful place to experience yoga nidra! But overall an amazing spa to explore on your own with their hamman baths, massages and privates sessions. This place has been such a treat to go to!

I took my daughter who was visiting town and we enjoyed 45 minutes of relaxation. The salt room is stunning. We were mesmerized by the beauty of the salt, pink chunks everywhere. It felt like being inside a geode. The sensation was calm and healing. I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.

I LOVED my total experience at Asheville Salt Cave! I did a 45 minute massage and 45 minutes in the salt cave which was a really great deal! My massage therapist was fabulous and made me so comfortable. The salt cave was amazing too. You have the option of a reclining chair or a floor mat w a pillow for your head and one for knees on the salt floor. I chose the floor mat. It was comfy enough, even with a wrecked spine. There were a few other people in the room with me, but I was placed in an area by myself near a wonderful little fountain. It was so relaxing... I felt like a different person when emerging! The reception desk was awesome too - kind and helpful. I loved the little shop and bought some things as I waited for the salt cave. The building and neighborhood are adorable too. doubtfulFree delicious herbal tea didn't hurt either! I'm hooked on salt caves now, but doughtful you can find one as great at this place!

Full body massages paid $100/massage plus $10 tip to each massage therapist but overpriced for the quality and professionalism from the massage therapist. My friend and I booked full body massages at Asheville Salt Caves at the end of our work trip in town. The building was easy to find and the upstairs was clean and nice. The front desk gentleman was nice in greeting us. The massage therapist assigned to me was Buffy. She was immediately on the defense worried I'd say something about her name being related to the TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Moving forward, we went over the routine questions prior to the massage. I explained that my right shoulder was tense and my feet sore from walking a lot that week but that I wanted a full body massage. She ignored my wishes and only did my back. She did a good job on my back; however I paid for a full body massage. *Started about 10 mins late. In my opinion the massage was only worth $75 total at most including tip. Lastly, I wish I didn't leave a tip but I felt pressured to when checking out. Now my friend had a different experience. She stated that although she completed the questionnaire prior to the appointment, the massage therapist used part of the booked time to review every question still. Then during the massage, my friend asked for deeper pressure in certain areas. The massage therapist chastised and questioned my friend if she ever had a professional massage before and ignored her wishes for deeper pressure. My friend was scared to say or request anything else moving forward. Not only did it start late with all the questioning, but the massage therapist ended the appointment about 5 minutes early. Again barely worth $75 total.

I had an AMAZING experience. My friend brought my son an I to the Sunday child friendly session. He is 4 months old and we both had a wonderful time. The staff was soooo friendly. I absolutely cannot wait to come back and will be sharing with all my friends and family!!

I had a hot salt stone massage here with Lauren. The massage felt different than what I'm used to, but in a good way. Her touch felt very healing rather than the digging and pushing I'm used to receiving at other places. I usually ask for firm pressure but this was lighter than I generally recieve but that lead to no discomfort during the entire service despite how badly my muscles ached. Even with the lighter pressure my muscles feel wonderful. I am so appreciative, as I could barely get out of bed this morning!

We drove from Atlanta to visit the caves based on recommendations. Although making it a part of a girls trip, it was the main focal point. Beautiful cave. Nice comfy lounge chairs. 2 things: twice the music abruptly stopped to only hear trickling water. Both disrupted by the heavy sound of footsteps upstairs. Very disappointing.
