I purchased a KIA sorento 2015 to from here on June 1st due to recommendations and working on my credit. My husband George noticed the brake light or reverse light on one side wasn’t working. They told us to go to this place to have it fixed and the guy never answered the door when we was there. We called and he said he would let us know when he had the time to fix it. We called several times and nothing. We paid for a full warranty for a year, full coverage and so on. All the works. If you live further than Asheville it’s an extra 500 on top of the down payment they ask for as well. Today makes a little over two months and we never had any trouble with it. Inspection all maitnance oil changes and so done and up to date. On our way to a specialist doctor appointment and the engine light comes on she starts Erving to only 2RPM. Pulled over called to have it towed and then find out the engine blew. This is a known problem with Kia’s and it’s so bad that the new engines can’t keep in stock. Our machining said probably a year to two year waiting list. ? Call you guys back and there’s nothing else you could work with us out. Buying another car or nothing!!! Even a rental until we get a new one would of helped. It’s ok. You lost a lot of good business and honestly I wouldn’t have even give a one star due to how rude you people have been on the phone as well as no help or resolutions to help your clients that pay and actually trying to live life the best we can! Just wanted to be honest here and mind you we never got any help with there kind of warranty’s!!! Read all warranty’s and papers before signing guys! Gods going to provide for us either way!

Came to Appalachian Motors last week to browse the Lot. Found a truck that piqued my interest and came back to take it for a Test Drive. After the Test Drive I went in to sign the proper documents collected the Key and drove away a Satisfied Customer. Thank you for being accommodating and giving me a good experience at your Lot.

I absolutely will recommend this place to anyone needing a chance to be able to get a car that is affordable. They are very understanding even when I get a lil behind on my payments. They will contact me as well to warn me about payments or anything that u need to be reminded when it comes to your vehicle. They are very helpful and the guys there are so chill and helpful. I actually plan on getting another vehicle later in the future through them.

Hands down the best car buying experience I have ever had! Friendly, informative, absolutely above and beyond expectations! Bought a 2005 suburban and absolutely love it!

I would not recommend this car lot to anyone. They are slick and will try to sell you a car that doesn't even run longer then a few weeks. When you have a questions or issues they just like to talk over top of you and hang up. We bought a car then less then two months ago and the car is already out a transmission not to mention other things that are going to be costly. I will enjoy driving something that actually doesn't leave me stranded on the side of the road somewhere.

I personally have been dealing with this company since 2019 and have purchased 3 vehicles from them in that time frame.. a 2007 Toyota 4-runner a 2010 Toyota Tacoma. And now my most recent a 2013 Toyota tundra. I have personally never had a sour experience with Appalachian motors , in fact it's been a more comfortable buying experience than most other dealerships.. with this in mind. The vehicles on site. Are USED pre owned. Not new and not perfect. If you ask the staff questions they will be honest about the vehicles or find out for you if they don't know themselves. The buying experience is quick and efficient as well. This has made me a return customer and I will probably be returning for business in the future as life needs change over time.

BUYER BEWARE. My husband recommended this car lot because he was financing a car through them. I then financed my own with $3000 down. I had my own account with no cosigner. Paid regular payments ($2900 worth). My husband voluntarily returned his vehicle and the car lot TOOK MY CAR TOO. I had been late on one payment, paid that payment and was "delinquent" on a 12$ late fee I didn't know I had. I did ask if I was to pay the delinquent amount plus the current due payment if I could keep the car since I had never defaulted on payments and was told no.
They took my car because of a "policy" they have that says "if one person in a household returns their car or has it repo'd, anyone in the household who is also financing must turn theirs in as well". I WAS NOT TOLD of this policy (they say they did tell me) neither verbally or in writing OR I WOULDNT HAVE BOUGHT A CAR FROM THEM. They also had me initial items on a summary page when I got the car, one of which states "d) I understand that only those representations that are made in writing are binding on me or the dealership.". Again they neither told me verbally nor was this policy in the paperwork.
I now have no car and am out nearly $6000 not to mention the parts and repair I had done on this car while I had it.
Also, they had a jeep on their lot who's odometer was reading 120k, I pulled a Carfax and it was in the 200k range. I informed the lot and they said they had it listed as "mileage unknown" and didn't bother to fix the mileage in their system.

A friend of mine and her husband each bought a vehicle here. The husband decided to let his car go back due to financial issues. His wife however planned on keeping her car plus all of her payments were up to date. However, this ridiculous car lot says that she has to turn her car in as well. Apparently they have a policy that if one person turns their car back in, they all have to if they have then financed through the car lot. Neither one’s name is on the other’s contract. This should not b legal. If there is a way to help her fight these people, I will. I am so tired of these sleezy car lots trying to take advantage of people trying to do their best. We ride at dawn!!
