A very apt business name as the brake work here was very affordable. I went in fully expecting to need four new brake pads and rotors and the whole shebang. Dropped off my car overnight, and the work was done by lunchtime the next day. Total price was about a quarter of what I was expecting as it was just two pads and the labor to install and rotate. Two months later I brought the car back for a minor follow-up problem and Gary didn't charge me a dime to sort it out. Nothing beats a good mechanic you can trust!

Came in with my entire exhaust having fallen off due to a bad installation. Had the wrong fittings, brackets, the whole shebang. I arrived at 7:30 and there was already a line of cars ahead of me (a testament to how wanted this man’s work is.) I got a call around noon telling me he was checking out the issues, filled me in on everything wrong and how he was going to fix it, and an hour later called me up telling me it was finished. Not only was this quality work, but it was fast. And VERY affordable, living up to the company name. I will absolutely be back for any other exhaust issues as well as brakes. Thank you so much!

Gary is definitely the guy to go to for brakes. Always super fair on price. Does a great job. You need to get there early (730 am) as he fills his day up quickly.

I went in thinking I needed brakes and rotors. After inspection, the rotors only needed to be turned. It was a nice surprise to pay less than $100 when I thought it was going to be more expensive. Thank you for having integrity and pride in your work. They also let me know the condition of the brake pads. I will definitely go back when it's time to change them. Get there early! There's a reason they are busy! Thanks again!

If you need your brakes inspected or replaced, I highly recommend this shop.
I was told by a mechanic a few months ago that I needed to have both the front and back pads replaced on my car but I decided to put it off because I don’t drive that often and didn’t notice any shaking or grinding when I’m braking - just a little bit of squealing.
Since it had been a bit, I decided it’s better to be safe than sorry so I stopped by AM&B. There was one person ahead of me so I dropped my car off and got a call a few hours later that my brakes were fine and nothing needs to be replaced because I still have like 50% of the pads left on the front and more than that on the back. He just said they were really dirty so he cleaned them off and sent me on my way.
I went in there fully expecting to be out of a good chunk of change by the end of the day, and I really appreciate that I didn’t end up spending money on a service that I didn’t actually need to have done yet because of his honesty.

On our way to Brevard and Asheville for the weekend, the car's brakes started grinding badly. It didn't seem like a good idea to drive back to Ohio without addressing the issue. Our local friend recommended Affordable Mufflers & Brakes. We arrived Monday around 9:30am -- there were a couple of cars ahead of us. The shop is walking distance from restaurants and shops to kill time while waiting for your car. We didn't have to kill much time because we were on the road to Ohio by noon with repaired brakes. Extremely pleased! Thanks Gary!
