The playground here is very nice but they need to keep the bathrooms open from dawn to dusk. There’s too many kids playing here to not have an operating restroom

Had to make a quick Plan B when I showed up at the Zoo with 6 kids, only to find out the kids play area was closed due to a copperhead sighting and that was our only purpose of going. We pivoted and ended up at the Y for their splash pad instead. What a great facility! Staff were all so kind and accommodating! Plenty of shade and seating, and the concession stand was a hit with the freeze pops. Changing rooms were clean and plentiful. We will certainly be back!

I am beyond grateful for the YMCA as they watch my son for after school childcare. They go above and beyond to have kid activities and be involved in things like making greenhouse’s and growing plants. They ensure the kids have a “kids night out”which gives adults time to do things as well. It’s an excellent program! One in which I am grateful for!!!

This is a very nice “Y”. I have been to at least four different Y’s in different areas and this is the top one. The weight area is large with lots of nice and kept up equipment. They even have people cleaning the equipment throughout the day which is a plus. The people who work there are super friendly. If you are doing free weights or machines they have plenty of choices in one of the largest workout areas I have been to. I would highly recommend this Y for anyone wanting to join a gym.

I worked at a YMCA for over 9 years and since I’ve joined this one the experience has been quite baffling. I know how hard it is to find good workers who are willing to do what’s best for a facility and the community in which it’s ran. The staff rarely speak when entering and seem quite aggravated when they actually have to help someone scan in. My fiancé was declined entry when he forgot his card and I know the system they use so looking someone up takes a matter of seconds. The childcare workers are so kind during the day time hours, but when entering at night time the rooms smells of harsh chemicals. I understand the importance and the need for a clean facility but harsh cleaning chemicals were sprayed on machines in the middle of the bussiest time today while I was working out. I could barely get the workout I needed in because of my reaction to this. I hate leaving poor reviews of a facility especially one that I hold dear to my heart because I know the lengths it takes to run a smoothly operating YMCA, but as stated the staff seem very detached.

The soccer field&playground is becoming a gang hangout for unsupervised youth. Mostly on the weekends, late in the afternoons when I walk. I've seen bullying& fights among the kids. Foul language directed toward senior citizens trying to walk. No parents in sight. The track isn't a free daycare.

Absolutely love the splash pad. Had my sons birthday party there and very easy going and love how they were very responsive. They were incredibly friendly and easy to work with the schedule.

This review is on the splash pad only. This used to be a place my 2 kids (7 & 11) begged to go & we used to go weekly before covid. It was always a great experience. We decided to go for the first time since covid on Tuesday 7/12/22. My kids were both super excited. Unfortunately we left after only being there 45 minutes.1st. There was a group of high school age kids hanging around the concession stand which was obviously fine, until they started cussing loudly that my children & I could hear.2nd. The 2 ladies working at the concession stand were more interested in having a conversation with gentleman then doing their job. My oldest had to go around to the side of the concession stand to get someone's attention to get bandaids for his brother which is where number 3 comes in??3rd. Granted it has been 2 years since we visited I don't remember the concrete being so slippery! My youngest was mostly playing on the yellow concrete area and he fell numerous times (no he was not running). My oldest hung out in the blue painted area and didn't have any trouble ??♀️4th. We were about ready to go, we didn't appreciate the bad language & obviously my child kept getting hurt. What really infuriated me was the last time my son fell 2 of the young gentleman walked by and started laughing at my injured child!! Like really? I let it go because they are "kids" but that was uncalled for. We got up and left immediately after that. It's extremely disappointing that a place my kids looked forward to going and we spent hours at is no longer a place they want to visit.

Started running here at 8:30pm at the track since I attend school near and work. This is my first time running here and I felt very uncomfortable running here with cars slowing down near me and random cars driving around the building (and not going in obviously) :( wish there was a way for people who run when it’s kinda dark due to work/school to feel safe and not like they’re being watched

Our family has had memberships off and on for a while. They made fee accommodations for members during the pandemic. If all you want is to go in and swim or just do a single class/workout it's kind of pricey, but I guess that's true of any Y, and it's why they encourage memberships. Worth it. They have some subsidized memberships available. And if you want to do beastmode/crossfit, the Y is much more cost effective than joining a local gym. You can sign up for swim lessons without a membership I believe, and the outdoor facilities are available to everyone regardless of membership. The building additions are fantastic, and there are so many classes to choose from: spin classes, jazz dance, Zumba, hiit, several kinds of yoga classes and a yoga wall. Always finding something new to try there. I like the giant mandala on the wall in the yoga/mediation room, it's a nice touch. Lots of machines of all kinds, the tvs, and large screen video classes on demand for things like kickboxing and a more curated weightlifting experience for newbies. They host regular fitness challenges which is also nice. Big group workout room with a mirrored wall. Popular place for birthday parties, has a splash pad, childcare center, and teen hangout room with air hockey, ping pong, pool, board games. The pool and whirlpool/sauna/steam room are great, great people, there are swim lessons on offer, and an awesome year-round competitive swim team for children and youth. Great beastmode/crossfit community, very supportive and knowledgeable. Handball courts. Gym/courts. Not sure why someone else referred to a track, since there is no running track per se. I use the paved walking trail around the soccer fields, wish it were a more forgiving material like wood chips but I guess concrete is more durable. The Y is more than a health club, it's about building community. This Y sponsors community initiatives/fundraisers/events and has twice yearly bring-a-friend and waived signup fee events. The community garden out back is an impressive, dedicated organization that donates lots of produce to local food kitchens. Nice big conference room. Administration has been helpful and friendly. Soccer program is wildly popular, they also host basketball, volleyball, pickle ball. The two reviewers who complained about trash on the playground both went there on a Sunday, I'm guessing it must have been right after a big soccer game day before they cleaned up since it's not usually like that from what I've seen. The check-in process is via a barcode scanner now. Locker rooms are good and clean.
