I cannot recommend picking up your prescription here. I visited 4 times in 3 days to get my perscription and there is always an issue where they tell me to come again tomorrow at a certain time.
The first time, I arrived 20 minutes before their lunch break and they said I had to come again later because they're going on lunch.
The second time, I came by after their lunch break only for them to tell me it was out of stock and that I should check the Walgreens down the street. (They couldn't be bothered to check their database to see if it was in stock down the street.) - I drove to the other Walgreens and it wasn't in stock. The second Walgreens told me I had to go back to the this one to make sure they ordered it. I tried calling ahead but I was put on hold and the hung up on.
The third time, I went back to this Walgreens and they told me it would be ready by tomorrow at 3.
The fourth time, I came back the next day at 3 and now they're telling me to return tomorrow at noon. I've had to wait in line with 3 or 4 cars in front of me everytime I visit. I asked if they could call me and they told me about enrolling in text alerts. If they had told me this was an option at the start, this could have all been avoided.
I will need to return again a fifth time, at this point, my father has not had his medication in 3 days. I don't believe the employees understand the severity of not getting meds on time or believe in doing their jobs efficiently and effectively.
The only thing keeping me coming back to this Walgreens is that I have a coupon for the medication and it's already expensive as it is.

This is about the Walgreens near Gerber Village. This is the absolute worst pharmacy ever. You can never just go pick up your prescription. There is always some kind of issue and 9 times out of 10 it is their error. They are rude, and not helpful. Seriously, I have to go there like 4 times a week trying to get prescriptions. They call and text you constantly, for what I don't know. (generated nonsense), it is certainly never related to your prescription. I can not wait for Sona to open on Long Shoals and be done with this place forever.

Walgreens portrays themselves "The corner of happy and healthy" but it is anything but. At least that is true for 1. The store located at 2501 Hendersonville Road, Arden NC 28704 2. The corporate complaint website and telephone number. The store: In the midst of the coronavirus scare, my husband and I went to our local Walgreens this morning. It is very very clear that staff is not trained and the store is not exercising any type of "healthy" approach to preventing the virus from spreading - other than a sign poorly taped on the floor indicating social distancing. There us no hand sanitizer or disinfectant at the front of the store for people to use prior to touch carts or baskets. I understand being out on the shelves - but I don't at the front of the store for people to reduce the risk of spreading germs. In fact - every store near us has this even our local Lowes has this along with a sign indicating that they have disinfected carts. Not Walgreens. I am actually not bothered that when the "I see three" was activated it took forever for anyone to come. I am greatly bothered that the cashier was not trained regarding the virus. Rather than using the hand gun scanner to ring up the products and just let me bag them myself, he touched each product multiple times before putting them in the bag and then insisted on handing the bag to me. It makes not sense. The cashier also did not have any type of hand sanitizer or disinfectant at his station. All store in our area visibly have these things available to the cashier. Very disappointing the a compnay that wants to project a healthy image is falling so short. We won;t shop at Walgreens again. Our local cvs has good practices and a self check-out. I will let our friends know. Lesson learned. Trying to share this concern with you - this was my experience. a. Using this page to "voice" my complaint i find it funny that the word Walgreens isn't recognized by your own spell check. Oh well - on this page and one other for complaints... the store locator button puts the user in a black hole. When selecting your store, it takes you to the local store info and no way to indicate that this is the store you are complaining about. You are unable to use this button to indicate the store. The user has to back out and start all over again. I should know I did it four times. Clearly no one has actually tested your own system. That is when I tried calling. b. I called the customer complaint number. What a disaster. Do you think someone filing a complaint wants to use an automated system? Nothings says "we don't care about our customers concerns" more than that. The automated system does not seem to recognize simple words. I am an English speaking american who grew up in the Midwest. If it doesn't recognize my words - then who on earth does it recognize? I used the word "complaint" (alone and not in a sentence) thinking it would direct me to the appropriate area and the first time it asked me if I said the word orange and the second time it asked me if I was saying the word almond. Wow - not even close. Big fail. I can't wait to see what type of standard e-mail I will get after this. I am sure it will be automated, cold and impersonal. Perhaps it will even ask me about almonds. I and very disappointed. Walgreens has to make a much better effort to keep their customers happy and healthy! You are a major chain. Shame on you.

4 stars for cleanliness and fair pricing. Ya lost 2 stars because your customer service sucks. The lady at the front counter held a 5 minute personal convo with the customer in front of me and then never acknowledged I was standing there. I had to set my stuff down right in front of her to even get her to look at me. She was so preoccupied with talking about pills and her damn finger nail that she picked her nail for another 2 minutes before ringing me up. She looked annoyed I was even at her register. Trust me lady I would of went to any other register had one been open. Oh and your entrance and exit suck as no where can you make a left turn..

I love this place. The employees are always nice the moment I walk in. The pharmacy has a great staff and a great pharmacist. He always goes above and beyond to answer my questions. The only con to this Walgreens is not really a con. They are very busy around 5 pm at least that's been my experience. But all in all 5 stars!!! I shop there almost everyday and it's my favorite Walgreens.
