“Reciprocity is an Asheville treasure that has been serving the community with unique fashion finds and a welcoming atmosphere since 2009. Located conveniently on the corner of Brevard Road and Haywood Road, just across from Biscuit Head, it's a must-visit spot for fashion enthusiasts. From the moment you step in, owner Toni and her lush greenery create a warm and inviting environment, giving off those perfect jungle vibes. Toni's background in social work shines through in their commitment to fostering connections and community through clothing and social justice donations. They're now celebrating 14 incredible years in business, thanks to their dedicated customers and their impact on the community.Reciprocity offers an array of new and resale women's boutique clothing featuring popular brands like Free People, Frye, Anthropologie, Madewell, and Urban Outfitters. Their denim collection is extensive, occupying an entire wall, and their selection of boots is fantastic. The shop's ambiance is best described as boho and chill, reminiscent of shopping at your fun and artsy aunt's place. One unique detail that sets them apart is that everything hangs on wooden hangers, ensuring nothing falls while you browse.Besides their excellent stock of seasonal items, you might even encounter a friendly store doggie during your visit, and well-behaved dogs are welcome too. Toni and her staff are not only knowledgeable about fashion but are also great folks to chat with for recommendations on how to make the most of your day in Asheville after your shopping spree.Reciprocity's hours make it convenient for shoppers with different schedules, and they accept up to 15 in-season items for store credit when you're looking to sell. What's even better is that your store credit never expires, giving you the flexibility to shop at your own pace.Parking is a breeze, with free parking available around the corner, shared with the nearby guitar shop. The store itself is easily accessible, all on one level, with no stairs to navigate. The fitting rooms offer ample space, making your shopping experience comfortable.Payment options are convenient, as you can pay with cash or card, and returns are accepted for store credit.I've personally found some fantastic pieces at Reciprocity, including a cozy white sweater perfect for the holidays, a colorful knit poncho, and versatile leopard-print shorts that go with everything. It's the place to discover unique fashion items that stand out.In summary, Reciprocity is more than just a clothing store; it's a vibrant part of the Asheville community. If you're in town, be sure to stop by, say hello to Toni and the team, and explore their wonderful collection of clothing and accessories. Your wardrobe will thank you, and you'll be supporting a local business with a heart for social good.”

“Best consignment store I've both shopped and consigned with. Curated consignment has high end brand names and staff is very knowledgeable. The boutique is well laid out and easy to shop. Also, it's super clean. No cheap scented candles.”

86 N Lexington Ave, Asheville“popped in to check it out briefly. the staff were friendly and the store has its fair share of decent items, but prices seemed higher than market average pretty much across the board. seems to cater to people who are uncomfortable with or otherwise unfamiliar with shopping secondhand or vintage clothing online, and is probably not for people well versed in in the vintage clothing market.”
“This place features a variety of furniture, art pieces and household items from vintage to contemporary. Lots of books and garden decor too. I've always enjoyed wandering through the Screen Door, and I've purchased some treasures here over the years.”

“Wide variety of ever changing items, from home decor to clothing to furniture. It’s fun to shop for treasures here. I bought these galvanized steel hearts to fill the blank space above our tv without detracting from the picture. Painted them red, hung with white shoelaces and they’re perfect. I paid $37 for both of them at Lulu’s.”
“Lots of variety! Helpful staff as well. It's much more budget friendly to shop here than pay full price elsewhere (or to buy clothes from discount stores that are poor quality).”
“Awesome bargains to be found in them bins. It's so entertaining when they bring out the new bins, people grow crazy when they bring out the bins with the treasures in them. And the price is so good.”
“I've almost always had an outstanding experience at this particular Plato's closet. I'm a frequent seller and shopper and really have nothing but good things to say. With that being said, I must say there is one employee that I'm always excited to do business with (she is dark-haired, taller, and you can always recognize her because she's just a little bit louder than everyone else in the best way possible). She is a true brand ambassador, knowledgeable of products and provides exceptional customer service. She is definitely one of the reasons that I keep coming back and if you are lucky enough to have her help you on your trip to this Plato's closet, then I can assure you that you're in for a treat.”
“Went in yesterday and witness a very loud and angry woman yell at the staff, specifically a younger girl named Peyton, because of a pricing issue and store policy. The j*** of a customer was incredible rude, loud, and very confrontational, almost as if she wanted to fight physically. Peyton, the staffer, was a rockstar. She handled the situation as best as she could, remaining calm throughout.Well done Peyton. Someone give this girl a raise.”
